WHY is this Stellar Forged piece in BGs?

Aside from the fact that it is simply not an enjoyable game mode for what I’m sure is a significant chunk of this playerbase, it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to compete in.

I’m fairly skilled, but I’m being matched against rosters more than DOUBLE the size of mine.

What kind of message does this send to the wider playerbase?

1) “You can’t participate in this chase unless your account has a rating of 10m?”
2) “Oh you can catch up later on. What’s that? You didn’t play BGs? That’ll be 20k units”

This is ridiculous.

Am I not allowed a fair chance to get this chase piece? It’s difficult enough to commit to one year of chase pieces, without it being damn near IMPOSSIBLE to attain some pieces.

TLDR: tone deaf chase design b/c of unfair BGs matchups.

Maybe give it a week so the whales can move up first? You're acting like they're completely gatekeeping you. Last season there were people with only 6* in Uru, if you really are skilled you'll get there.

I did get to GC last season (first time I play BGs and I got there).

It’s just extremely frustrating when your account is half the size of the whales progressing to GC, and you have to hope and pray that they move quickly enough so that you can get fair matchups.

Like, there’s no guarantee I can get this piece fairly.

Look at how content is being designed in general: slogs are welcome so long as it’s tuned towards your progression.

BGs is simply unplayable. I’m not saying it should be easy, but it shouldn’t be impossible either.

It's the first day. Don't touch bgs until at least day 3 so the whales have moved on. If your account is that small then you're gonna have to wait a week or two. Luckily for you this season is 2 weeks longer so by week 5 it should fairly easy to make it to the gc as well

They will move up, there is no need to pray, just be patient.

Unfortunately, the pieces have to be somewhat challenging to acquire because the final reward, Stellar Forged Doom, is very likely going to be insane just like Thanos was. They can't just throw in a bunch of easy objectives any TB or Paragon can complete. Sure, the pieces are meant for everyone but if you're not fully an endgame player then it makes sense that you will have to work a little harder than people who are already endgame players.

Again, why do you keep using the word impossible? The season just started, of course you won't be able to climb up right away but by week three the competition will be almost completely gone and you will literally be facing TBs in Vibranium. If you can't beat a TB in Vibranium then maybe you need to grow your account more because you're not even close to being at the level required to get a free 7* Stellar Forged Doom, and that's okay

Yeah I guess it’s a matter of patience. I appreciate your experience and guidance because even though I’m not new to the game, I’m new to BGs.

So if you say it’s possible, I’ll take your word for it.
