My name is Twesh Srivastav, and I am reaching out with all my hope. My mother, Sandhya Srivastava, is battling Breast Cancer. She has completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy, and now doctors have advised urgent Targeted Therapy, which is crucial to save her life.

We have already spent ₹1,70,000 by using our savings and taking loans, but we still need ₹13,80,000 more for her treatment. I am trying my best, but I cannot do this alone.

Every day, she looks at me with a smile and says, “Don’t worry beta, everything will be okay.” But inside, I am terrified of losing her.

You mean Indian hospital won't start treatment until payment is secured?

I know different countries have different system

Some allow payment by installments after treatment starts

Treatment is already in progress, but now surgery is needed and the cost is for the surgery itself.

Most indian hospital does not start surgery before depositing about 70-80% of amount.

I cannot stop anyone from trolling or making fun of this and anyone saying it's misleading, even a single search of about this specific crowdfunding platform will give the clarification

Definitely that's illegal here. Some hospitals do it, but mostly they are obliged to start the treatment before payment.

Also we have government hospitals and free healthcare here, just like majority of countries, although it is not of high quality, it usually gets the job done.

Also breast cancer treatments don't cost this much (15-17k dollars as stated by OP). It is usually around 5k-6k dollars.

Why didn't you opt for government hospitals? Pretty sure they treat breast cancer issues.

Also you don't have ayushman card or other central/state government insurance schemes? Not judging just asking.

It is my friend's family and they are not eligible for Ayushman card, tried several government hospital in (Varanasi and Delhi) and the waiting list is too long.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to get an appointment in AIIMS(Delhi) on urgent basis as waiting list here is about 18 month long.

If an appointment at AIIMS is secured, no need to crowdfund as surgery will be free of cost there.

AIIMS is definitely going to ask you to wait. If you are able to, try approaching local MLA or other politician, preferably with a connection from higher end. Anything possible if they get involved
