Why is the Elder EQ getting harder?

For the skill quest all the defenders have purify or bleed immunity. And why is EMP modification even a node in the science quest? The only purpose it serves is to steal my health.

I am completely out of health potions. I feel like completing Elder EQ requires more health potions than a Necro path. Why is Elder continually being made harder?

The higher your prestige, the more difficult it becomes. As you keep ranking champs and putting sigs into them, difficulty increases. That is the whole idea behind adaptive difficulty

In a few cases, I'm fairly confident it's just the Devs not thinking things through.

There's a node in the Tech quest that inflicts the defender with Passive shocks; which is what powers your Attacker to get their attack boost.

Which is fine, as the defenders are all fairly vanilla... until the very last fight in the lane, where the node means you've got to fight Gladiator Hulk with Face Me! pretty much permanently active.

It was such a change to all the other fights on the path, that I genuinely think it was a mistake…

I'm referring to the nodes and the defender placement on certain quests. The HP/Attack isn't a problem.

Yeah but having so many bleed immune and purify defenders on the skill quest couldn't have been accidental

I agree that some of these nodes are bs and they did say they're planning on revamping all the nodes soon, but more potions than a Necropolis path? Come on lol

Smaller accounts aren't going to do that and are missing the rewards however small it is, this creates a widening gap between big accounts and small accounts that can only be bridged by spending money

That's the ultimate goal of adaptive difficulty

I did Classic, and I'm sitting at Elder, trying to decide if I want to run it or not. I can, I just don't have the same desire. I used to enjoy EQ. Now I can't be bothered.

Hey now, I'm gonna defend OP cause the previous two months of Elder EQ I ABSOLUTELY used more revives and potions than I did for my entire 9.2 and 9.3 explorations. It's tedious, some fights are extra annoying, most don't benefit the nodes they have, and you don't heal in-between.

Okay but more than a Necropolis path? So dramatic lol like I said nodes definitely need to be revamped, they said they’re working on it and we will definitely have new nodes early next year but what is the point of crying and being super dramatic when they already said they will be addressing them soon, it’s not like they’ve ignored the feedback completely

Oh yeah I mean more than a necropolis path I assume is just conjecture but yeah a little disingenuous. Still hard tho! And yeah, the nodes definitely need to be updated.

Only thing i hate now is this one node one champion system. I can't even enjoy Champs anymore. this was good for Valiant Gauntlet, crucibles or some special things, but applying it for EQ is not fun. Make EQ quest type and let us enjoyyyyyyyyyy

I do agree that for some people it can definitely still be challenging, some of these nodes absolutely need to change but yeah calling it Necropolis 2.0 basically is just too much lol
