Who Gets the 7* Tech Gem?

Pulled a Tech 7 star awakening gem and now I’m weighing up which champ actually deserves it. Which of these 15 champs needs the gem the most?

If you’ve got experience with these champs at awakened levels I’d appreciate your insight!

I would say Prowler.

Prowler but only if you’re going to invest a lot of sig stones. Red Skull benefits by getting g armors more frequently, which is valuable.

Suggestion for next time, only include the champs you’re actually considering. Probably get more responses that way.

Fair comment. My initial thoughts were Jack O Lantern, Ultron, Warlock, or Arnim Zola but none of them really need the dupe, right? I threw the full list in because I wasn’t convinced any of them were obvious choices and figured someone might spot an option I missed.

Maybe the best move might be to wait for Bastion.

Ironheart gets a decent boost from her Sig - longer debuffs which grant her more damage and utility; she gets a decent Bulwark Vs Specials (so gets more tanky) and a bit of regen which comes in handy in questing/Incursions.

She's one of the most adaptable champs in the game - my first r4, and she's amazing, especially if you run Despair/Inequity. I even use mine in BGs as a safe option for defenders like Zola, Bullseye, Onslaught, Photon, Jean, High Evolutionary. She probably won't cut it if you're a high-tier competitive player; but if you're one of the huddled masses like me, she can do a lot.

If you're big into BGs, and have 180-200 Sig stones to spare, then Prowler becomes pretty beastly at high Sig.

From that list prob prowler, someone above also mentioned IH who would be another good option esp if like me ur a mid level player she can also take enchantress very easily. She was my first r4 and will likely be my first r5 when they're available. If ur gonna wait for a champ maybe wait for sentinal his dupe can make him far more annoying on defense and make him a great questing option as u can basically push him back to 100% health at will.

Thanks a lot for the input. You’re actually starting to sway me toward Ironheart which wasn’t where I expected to end up. Is she pretty straightforward to use or does she need a proper rotation? Also I’ve only got around seventy sig stones at the moment. Would that even be enough to make Prowler worth it?

I'd personally go Ironheart (for reasons stated above) or Red Skull. Red Skull was my second r4, and I still use him everywhere. His dupe is very beneficial at sig 1, as it allows him to get armor ups much faster, which in turns helps his sp2 damage.

Ironheart is simple, but you should be aggressive. Use MM or MLM combos and stack up incenerates, use sp1 to pause incenerate and inflict energy vulnerability, once you feel like enough stacks are there (usually 12-15 incen for bgs), throw your sp2 for big damage.

Red Skull

I’d wait for Bastion though. He’s still only in the Titan until March, so getting the dupe will be a bit harder than everyone else (besides Howard).

IH is a good suggestion, and as others noted, she’s got a ton of range. May not be very best option for any situation, buts she’s a very good option for LOTS of situation.

Not Ultron, btw. His sig is important but he’s still not great even at high sig.

Also, you can inflict additional debuffs with Dexing, and I strongly recommend a 5* or 6* Sentinel relic to reduce the opponents Energy Resistance.

You can also use the rune that lets you Pause Incinerate debuffs, but personally I never have a problem sustaining them, so I go for the Weakness effect on Incinerated opponents.

That pausing incenerate ruin only pause one incenerate actually

Prowler is the obvious answer here, unless you want to save for nimrod from the banquet pool.

Big thanks to everyone who suggested Ironheart. After watching Simula67, Vega583 and Lagacy break her down on YouTube, I was convinced. I used the gem on her and took her up to rank 3 already. She looks like my future first tech rank 4 as well. Spider-Woman also hit rank 3 today so progress all around.
