Do you want some cheese for that Whine
Do we really need another Thread on it?
MCoC stands for Marvel Contest of Compensations
Marvelous Casino of Confusions
I think they're still bugged. I popped 30 7-star crystals and didn't get any new champs.
You can see the new champions in the scrolling reel by spinning a crystal
The lifecycle of MCOC: Mistakes, Crisis, Open Compensation
It turned out to be a 45 mins party
We managed to fix the crystal bug after 45 mins
What about those who opened bugged crystals?
We will compensate them with another crystal
What about those who opened 1 min later
Well screw them
THIS, they can fix in a hot minute.
Whatever it takes for Kabam to acknowledge the hypocrisy and explain either how they're actually right and not hypocrites or how they're going to correct their mistake.
Give me a break guys. First of all… the "advantage" players would get from this is far less than you think it is, often for the very reasons in the justification as to why it is unfair. I'll use my numbers as example… there are players who have much high/lower, and will refer to them for other context. I opened 25 crystals effected by the bug. From that, I opened all duplicates (I do have a big account), including a few "max level" which would normally qualify for eventual asscension whatever comes out next year. For me to get 25 more crystals… The only new champs I could get are ones that I should have been eligible for / "might have" (one could argue about "should have" opened anyway). I will not awaken any new champions (other than ones I got twice from the above pool). Yes I would get many more sig levels… But in a pool of about 180 champs… that's about an everage of 3 sigs on every champion. Most I will of course miss, a few I might get 40 on. It won't effect my prestige in any meaningful way (ok maybe if I got 80 levels in a champion that I would still have to r4 it could, but odds are I would have done it already if I planned to… I am more interested in saving any resources for banquet champion. People who saved more than me in general… have even more stacked accounts / would have even less impact on. People who save significantly less than me… getting a few more random 7 star crystals will help… but it really won't give them a competitive advantage. 7 stars are just too common. People saved these shards for a reason… until this large volume of champs was entering the pool… there was little value to them (and look at those who did the same thing with Titan crystals… I'm already saving for the next pool / have no reason to open any more for the next 3 months). If this happened a year ago, when every 7 start was a treasure to be hold, and people might spend $50+ for one or over $100 for a titan.. I would be singing a different tune… but I can't be expected to get out of bed in the morning for a 7 star basic… and won't make it to the stairs for a titan (I am not for example chasing them in the extended BG season). On the other hand… those who were screwed… have legit reason to be… they saved for months… and got nothing… notta… zero. Should Kabam have left the bug for 3 days, and let others participate, then give the compensation… absolutely, yes… but unfortunately that ship has sailed. At best, (and maybe Kabam should)… they should compensate for all 7 stars opened, and those who actually didn't get screwed would actually potentially come out even further ahead, but only marginally so… I'd be good with that. If I were in Kabam's shoes, I'd know something needed to be done. The "special crystal where you get 1 for every N crystals you opened (the number I had when I thought of this was 4, but I've see 6 and 10 proposed… I don't pretend to know the perfect number)… that would have been fine… but I am sure take a lot longer to do / not worth the trouble. Short of that… this seems like the next best solution… and at this point, all I am hoping for is a timely delivery and more communication on when that might be.
