Necropolis Deathless Help Desperately Needed

I’ve been playing this game about 8 years (6 years this account) and I’ve never touched on any Everest/Carina content ever. They’ve always intimidated me, but now I’m needing all the help I can get.

The Stellar Forged champions are going to be a primary focus for me since the final one is DOOM (you can see why this matters to me), so I’ve decided I’m also rushing the deathless pieces I can get. The others I’ll use radiance on.

I plan to get a first completion on Necropolis alongside one Carina Challenge for it to get the deathless she-hulk/guillotine pieces associated. I need help. I’m not really using YouTube because I don’t feel like any channels really know my specific predicament of never playing Everest, so I was wishing for specific advice about how Necropolis plays and operates too. I have about 6.5k units and 40 to 50 revives available.

About the challenge tags, I’ll post the champs I have in the comments. I appreciate all the possible advice and help I can get on this.

I would say do the 10 year challenge, rank up your wong and you should be golden. That’s what I did for my first necro path last month, I’m also trying to get the deathless champs again haha.
My necro team was 6* r5A wong, r4 7* Cheeilth, r4 7* vox, r3 7* photon, and r2 7* Wiccan. Made it through with about 30 solo revives and 4 team revives

Man I’ve heard necropolis needs like 70+ revives and hours of free time. You make it sound like it’s pretty fun and not that terribly hard. What path did you pick? Also how does necro just work? I’d love insight

Pretty much all of them? It's probably a shorter list for fights he can't take. If you use his sp3 right he's borderline unkillable

I did the Titania path → apoc path. Duped wong cheeses the second half because of the indestructible buff.
I got through easy because there was a bug where if it was a multi-phase fight (omega sentinel or Hercules) if you die and go back in the phases restart regardless of how much health they have. So I never had to deal with like the annoying Hercules third phase or any of those.
Also Vox and Cheeilth were huge helps, both excel at this content

So would you advise me to go down that path?
the team I’m seeing right now is:

Chee’ilth R2/R3

Sentry R2 (the other commenter is convincing me)

Wong R2

Photon (7*) R2

Vox/Wiccan (?) R2

Would mostly R2s suffice? Or do I need some R3s?

When I did the ten year challenge I just did the OG Titania path. I already had it explored so no need for me to really do anything else. It’s generally regarded as the easiest path

R2 champions can definitely take care of business. That's what most of us went in with originally.

If you're going in with Wong, I would recommend taking a little while to acquaint yourself with him in Necropolis. He can be super effective, but he can also be super ineffective if you're not familiar enough with him to know how to utilize him to his fullest potential. I was definitely in the latter of those two camps during my Wong run. Luckily I had Chee and Adam Warlock ranked up, and both of those were my MVPs. But then I fought Nova with Wong towards the end of the run and realized exactly how broken he can be. He definitely can be amazing in there. I think I solo'd that Nova fight with a full yellow bar in the end, which felt amazing.

With that said, I would still check up some Youtube videos. They're a great help. I was in a similar situation to yours back when Necropolis first launched. I had never bothered with Everest content before because I just didn't think it was my cup of tea, but after watching various channels I eventually went in and knocked it out. It's hard - the hardest content there currently is - but it was surprisingly fun.

One thing to keep in mind before you commit to any of these challenges is to look up how far you actually have to progress through Necropolis with them. If I remember correctly, there are six challenges but only two of them require complete Necropolis runs. The other four only require that you hit the midway point with the specific champions. I think the Wong challenge is one of the ones that require a full run, but be mindful that the Mutant one might not be (despite you having a pretty good roster for it).

Thank you man. I’m definitely going to divert time into getting to know Wong for Necro, and the videos I’ve seen just tell me get up all your spells, spam sp2, do it for 10 minutes, win. Let’s hope that’s what it is. Also I think I’m going for the full clear. Still don’t have Guillotine because of necro, but that won’t stop me anymore. Necro looks hard but not as hard as I thought it was. Just tedious.

I think this’ll work won’t it? I’m still gonna revise Sentry for Necro and check Vox’s fights and cross reference and all that, but this is exciting. Haven’t felt like this about the game in so long.
