Coliseum Punishment is Sad

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the 600 hackers who got banned. That's good, and I hope they never come back.

I'm talking about cancelling all the points people got from re-using the same champs.

The issue is that a lot, and probably most, players don't read announcements or watch livestreams or otherwise read the long list of rules when they play.

Instead, they just open the game and play, and they do what the game allows them to do.

How is it their fault that the game allowed them to re-use champs in a completely new mode that many people didn't even understand?

So yet again, Kabam releases bugged content, and then has to come up with some random arbitrary solution to deal with the aftermath.

If only the people at Kabam could focus their energies on not continuously releasing bugged content/rewards/crystals, then they wouldn't have to continuously dig themselves out of their own holes by punishing or rewarding random groups of players.

But hey, Banquet, amiriiiiight???

They should deduct the points. Alliances who played by the rules would be at a disadvantage to those that abused the exploit, whether they knew they were or not. Deducting the points is the fair thing to do overall.

It's like saying you were able to draft seprent for your entire roster in bgs matches but you didnt know you couldnt do that so therefore your rank in the GC should stay. No, that would be dumb and unsportsmanlike

Punishment was wayyy too light. Saw on the discord that one of the alliances that exploited still got 67th place. Basically a slap on the wrist.

Should have given out one week bans for exploiting that bug.

The content (as always) was bugged, and many people spent a large amount of their free time trying to get high scores. I don't think you can assume they were all exploiting the bug, just as Kabam refused to assume that everyone who opened the bugged 7* crystals was exploiting that glitch.

The solution here is to give every non-hacker in an alliance who participated in this event the top rank reward. Because it was Kabam's fault, not the players'.

I wasn't even aware of an exploit as I never tried the same champs on different podiums (not like it matters as my alliance still had like ten people not post all five podiums).

The rule violation wasn't obvious imo. Maybe for you and me and others who follow or try to follow this game religiously, but that's not most players.

This is a new mode, where people wouldn't easily know what is a glitch and what is allowed by the rules. It's not like BGs where it's been running for years and most people would know that being able to draft the same player for every spot would be a bug.

The punishment could not have been anymore fair to players that didn't exploit and kind to players that did.

The common denominator in all of these discussions is: Kabam released something with a bug.

Then they make some random clean-up decision that pleases some players and angers other players, and basically pits players against players based on their differing views of "fairness" and "cheating" and "compensation," which are always going to be subjective.

Maybe instead of releasing bugged content and causing a rift among their customers, Kabam can just do a little extra QC, and if they can't, then just make everyone happy to the extent it's possible. (I know that people who don't want others to get the max rewards even if everyone is getting them will never be happy).

I just checked if you replied in crashed coliseum post, well you did. He even made a bullet point to let us know champs are locked in 1 podium.

The ingame champion icon specifically shows "The champ can't be used on another podium"

The drag and drop part is what was not intended.

There was another bug they did not punish, and I'm glad they didnt. The promt sleep NODE AAR. No, I didnt exploit that either. I tried with onslaught but 0 success. No lies there.
