Alliance Coliseum format vs Solo Coliseum format

The name is similar but it’s like cola drink, Pepsi and Coca Cola taste different, same with Coliseum
It’s like 2 ends of the spectrum for something with similar name

320 bars in Solo Coliseum are harder to digest than 320 bars of Kit Kat

You get more time in Solo vs 3 days in AC
3 days is really too short

You can’t buy your way thru Solo which is a real test of skill, that’s something good for skilled player

Both are really boring fighting the same boss many times

Killing tanky Havok 80 times, who thought that is fun? Really?

You are grinding for the rewards actually

At least arena has variety when it comes to grinding

Solo has an r4 gem crystal and 1.5 t5a at the end of it plus a whole lot else and no podiums to grind. You can just go in when you have some energy to burn and knock out 7-10 bars and then you're done until the next boss. Solo is miles better.

It's only 80 times if you really suck 😂. Otherwise it's 10-15 times and you have two weeks so you can just do 1 run a day really and be done in time for the next boss. It really isn't that grindy at all.

Firsrly, I think this is the 2nd time I seen you mentioned Kitkat (take a break man 🤣🤣🤣), do we need to change your name to BringKitKat?

Second, for my I like Solo Coliseum, or I would called it EoP 3.0. I don't see it as fighting a Boss (boring or not). I see as an opportunity for a long fight where I can test out champions (a bit like CCP testing Map or RoL Winter Soldier but with very meta rewards). Maybe we might get a cool Solo Coliseum Quest at the end of the year for an exclusive champ ( 😉 @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex )

Thirdly, I don't actually mind Alliance Coliseum and could like it, IF Kabam change 2 things.

Remove the 80 Exp point cap
Have it over 5 days instead of 3, which I think that was what Kabam was going to do, since we had 5 Podium, but decided to reduce it down to 3 days to "encourage" monetisation

You only get those rewards if you're valiant, paragon does exactly the same fight and amount of points for less rewards.

I prefer the solo variant by miles. I think it encourages you more to actually experiment with your champions. I dislike how the podium system can kind of lock your champion out of participating more. I don't know, it just feels as if the solo variant is all about skill and nothing but it, while the alliance version has all of these other elements that doesn't really increase the enjoyment I get out of it in any way. There are podiums to grind, there's monetization, you have a much stricter deadline, and you're reliant on other people. None of those elements actually elevate the game mode in any way for me. They all just make it worse. Not to an unplayable degree, but worse nonetheless.
