Colossus was my number 1 pick from the beginning, but I didn’t even expect him to get past round 1 let alone into the final 2. I really hope the stupid pig doesn’t win. We don’t need another “zany quirky cartoon” champion, one is enough

I've been voting Colossus since the first round but I've decided to switch to Pork Grind. His debuff reflection sounds interesting and, hopefully, will work with severe debuffs too, since it doesn't technically sound like a purify mechanic.

AoA looks cool, and we need a good Colossus, but his description doesn't make me confident that he'll be it.

Whenever I get faced with a roster way higher than me in BGs and I only needed one win (happens an awful lot), I don't just forfeit. I leave the game running not just to not waste my time since it's a clear loss, but also to make the other wait through timers and hopefully quit (though I don't bother going back to pause fights).

Point is, if I'm clearly on the losing side, I'm never making it easy for my opponent to win one way or another and I'm not dropping the habit here now.

I'm voting for Colossus just so Pork grind will not win or for it to at least not be a sweep for his side. Though I'm happy whoever wins cause they all look fun

People need to understand, that the majority of voters, are casual players that came here because it s a Marvel game. That means they will vote for well known characters, not Fantasma- a Ghost rider that appeared in very few comics, most of them very low selling titles like Champions and Timeless, not Storm Phoenix- an elseworlds version from one What If? issue nobody remembers, and not Pork Grind, a gimmick from a video game and four insignificant issues.

Age Of Apocalypse is the second most famous, popular and well written X-event afte Phoenix Saga. Colossus is well know from comics and movies. He s the winner.

Actually, most people probably don’t even read the comics like that, I know I don’t so everything you said is a bit of a stretch. Most people are probably here because they saw a Hulk and Wolverine add and decided to download because they like fighting games, or at most they watch the MCU movies, and I can guarantee you anything that even looks remotely Venom/Spider Man related is bound to get people’s attention more than another version of Colossus. Spider Man is always in the top 5 most popular superheroes of all time, Colossus probably not even top 20, and when people see Pork Grind all they will see is the spider logo and automatically vote for him at least those of us who aren’t into comics that much.

Spider-man is, the most popular Marvel character, yes. Venom is top 5 villains, even if he s not actually a villain for decades now. But people who come here from the movies or Capcom fighting games, they don't really want toon characters. If they did, they d playing Bugs Bunny games. Even in comics, and this statistic is very seriously related to what people want to see/have, goofy variant covers sell less than anything else, with the exception of Giarrusso and Skottie Young.

On the other hand, everyone who read a few comics here and there, knows about Age of Apocalypse.

So my take is, with this 2026 pool of characters, any AoA champion would have been the winner.

And you know what most people want how exactly? Did you make a huge poll and got over 100k votes? Cause that’s the only way for you to know for a fact what most people want. I played every Marvel vs Capcom game that’s come out since 1998 and I’m still voting Pork Grind purely because it’s a Spider-Man related character. I’ve barely read any comics of course, I’m sure if I had I would’ve maybe gone Colossus too because Age of Apocalypse just sounds like a crazy storyline, but I haven’t. Assuming most people who plays this game are as much into comics as you are is a stretch, most people are probably here because of the MCU and fighting games in general, not the comics.

Another thing I wanna point out is that based on the description Colossus looks like he will be a questing ramp up champ but nothing else is really hinted at other than him being very tanky and having some sort of unstoppable maybe since berserk is mentioned, while Pork Grind’s description sounds like he will not only hard counter Spider Woman but he will somehow purify debuffs and throw them back at you? Just right off the bat sounds way more interesting.

I am curious, people, how is AoA Colossus gonna be different in terms of abilities compared to the Colossus we already have? I know this version of Colossus is more brutal and uncompromising than the original, so maybe more furies and unstoppable?

For Pork Grind on the other hand, we may see a champion that can directly counter power stings and direct damage

Colossus will for sure have unstoppable since berserk is mentioned, it’s also implied that he will be a ramp up champ with his armors making him tankier the more fights he wins? This however has no effect in BGs so it’s not that appealing for me personally.

Pork Grind on the other hand is not only guaranteed to be a hard counter to Spider Woman and Ham based on that last line, it is also implied he will be able to purify debuffs and immediately throw them back at you which is already a completely new mechanic tho a little similar to Sinister’s.

Idk about everyone else but for me personally it’s a no brainer, Grind all the way.
