Ramp Up Champs should be allowed to have some of their ramp given in BG at the start

Now here me out I do wish Kabam allows this or makes it possible for the future cause if they are allowing Cull Freaking Obsidian of all to start with 3 or 4 of his favors than Ramp up champs should be allowed with some of their ramps given. Like Apocalypse should start with 3 of his prowess, Aegon with 150 combo meter or above etc. Cause i really do love these champs and want to use them in BG's. Hope in the future Kabam allows this if they allow Cull to have some of his. I want to hear all your opinions if you wish to share them but please keep it respectful and polite and tell me why you agree or disagree.

My answer is 150 or above in the original post plus sorry i can't tell sarcasm on online forums or other media. As for my idea being ridiculous it does sound a bit but that's the reason i ask why you and others whether you agree or disagree about it in the original post for if you wish to share why you disagree i would love to hear the reasons only if you wish too.

Battlegrounds is a quick fight mode for 2 people ,through "not real"pvp

Thus, its not a 1 single person quest or anything else.

And you see when you use Boosts, every one of them arent usable on BG.

So, there's no way on the known Universe that your idea will be accepted.

Our champions start the fight with 0 boosts, almost bare hands… only the nodes can do something as for the defender all stats and energy are higher.

But, in sometime you will see pause button removed, after Sp3 skip button was.

Edit= only champion pre-fight abbilities can be turned on off before fight as Nova flame from Human Torch.

See yes that is the truth but Cull Obsidian starting with 3 or 4 of his favors kinda kills the argument which is where i got this idea if ramp up champs are allowed to start with some of their ramps up if Cull of all champs is allowed to start with 3 or 4 of his Thanos favor. I'm just trying to follow this logic if he is allowed to start with 3 or 4 if his favors than shouldn't this courtesy extend to other ramp up champs.

He’s too slow for short fights unless he’s already ramped (and his ramp takes a million years) which means he’s useless in bgs, and he has no defensive value so he’s even more worthless

Yeah we do, those of us who actually play BGs consistently know for a fact a double sp1 sp2 rotation with class advantage against same rank is bad and will not win you any matches unless you're going up against a Uru potato. He might do well in matchups where he takes energy damage which allows him to ramp way faster but 90% of the time he will be completely useless for short fights, you would know this if you weren't so busy calling out "BGs brainrot"

idk why a single person is disagreeing with this, giving ramp up champs a bit of their ramp in bgs is absolutely nothing new, and its unfair for newer champs to not be given this same sentiment.

Blue marvel should start with enough charges where you only need to do sp1 sp2 rotation. That would still be slower than Cull btw. But at least he would be viable in bgs.

Not every champion that requires ramp up needs to have it shortened in bg in the same way that not every character who uses a specific dot effect has a way to deal with champions that are immune to it.

They've been giving ramp up champions options for bgs even more and a lot of buffs have added this in for champions like Cull, so they are doing it, but doing it across the board in a lot of instances wouldn't do much and in others it would do way too much

Sabertooth (5 passive furies at the start) and Cull Obsidian (begins with 3 charges) were the last ramp up champs that have something for BG that was in august 2025.

Kabam really expect that this new ramp up champs doesn’t need something for bg because we are gonna use them in coliseum but not really since we are gonna use the champs that we already rank, thats why many people are not excited for this new champs (only Blue Marvel for his prestige and Heimdall been the first cosmic Nico can’t do)

Like an easy fix for this new champ would be like:

Jonah J Jameson: starts with 2-3 armors in bg.
Stellar Star lord : starts with 3 cruelties in bg.
Heimdall : starts with an amount of buffs like 4 furies, precision and armor
Blue Marvel : Starts with an amount of antimatter charges in bg.

This is what i have been saying as well. Kabam has to allow the other ramp up champs so of their own ramps at the start in BG cause their is no way they can justify Cull but do nothing for the other champs who require ramps.

@destroy456 cull obsidian and silver samurai has this in their kit, they are tuned to be usable in BG.

The only champ I can think of that would actually need this is Cap Marvel she could be a crazy attacker she is good for fights like onslaught but if she started with like 15 charges she would be insanely faster

some champions, yes. But not all because some champions exclusively should be for mid-long form content or else it won’t be balanced. For example, no to Aegon but apoc could benefit from having charges in BG.

let’s be honest, “ramp up” is Kabam’s creative synonym for “champs that are less powerful than those we’ve released in the past.”

Ramp up champs plus the ascension pool just point toward them trying to pull back on power creep and change the meta without saying that’s what they are doing.
