The Madelyne Pryor Project

I just saw Seatin's video on Maddy Pryor, and all I can say is this, Im hoarding everything to get this character.

Im saving titan shards for her and will hold on my resources to make her my first R5 .

Kabam absolutely cooked this time, insane animations, she looks incredible.
I don't care if she will be top meta or mid. I'm getting her.

she was showcased as a tanky and reliable serpent counter, so at least there is that, all im saying is that myself i will hunt for her because my personal preference and seeing her in cartoons and comics.

we can all appreciate characters we like and rank them up, not just meta relevant champs, but if they're meta that means more people will use them, so win win from my side.

These people (including me) probably don’t care too much about their performance, compared to hardcore players.

Personally, just looking at her teaser, she looks promising but it’s too early to tell

Enchantress was showcased as a Serpent counter too and what do you think happened? Lol also the no block on damage isn’t nearly as impressive as it sounds when you realize he doesn’t have pierce up, of course he’s barely going to deal any damage when she has a shield mechanic similar to Jean’s but if it is exactly like Jean’s then once that shield is down she WILL start taking all the block damage straight to the face as soon as the pierce kicks in.

If you’re so passionate about a character then the right post should’ve been “I really hope they don’t ruin her kit because I really want to use her constantly” instead of “I’ll take whatever they give me idc”

I do want her to be really good, but seeing JJJ, blue marvel, makes me think we aren't going to get a lot of nukes this year, so im not super optimistic, my point was, regardless of the kit, I will take her, if she won't be good, then ill be the only summoner with her in my BG deck which will make people confused 😂

I’m not even a hardcore player I make Mysterium and call it a day every season, it’s literally just common sense. Why would you basically encourage them to ruin a character you’re so passionate about by saying something like “I don’t care if they’re trash I’ll chase after them regardless”. When you say something like that you’re basically telling Kabam they can get away with trash champ design as long as they’re a fan favorite lol

What I mean is if she does turn out to be trash (and just to be clear nobody here is asking for her to be a nuke) and people go around saying “oh that’s fine I’ll take it because it’s her I don’t really care” then what do you think that means for future fan favorite characters? People should speak out a little more when Kabam ruins kits for fan favorites such as Blue Marvel (and if she does turn out to be trash then the same applies to her too) instead of just accepting it as the norm.

Isn't she supposed to be called Goblin Queen? Why aren't we using our made-up names? Madeline Pryor was just a generic civilian, but she became the supervillain Goblin Queen later, and wore something like the costume seen here.

I hope she does more then just counter Serpent, and can also take other champs beside the cosmic class. every mystic they released after spiral was just to counter serpent like bro we have enough counters already for him.

This is where you learn that the design and look of something heavily influences people's desire to pursue things.

Just zoom out and look at the gaming industry as a whole. What games sell great and what dont? If the main character is ugly people will be less interested than if the main character looks good. It's just human monke brain

not always, personally i hate how Nico looks, but i use her because she is op for no reason..

and i dont think anyone finds Onslaught attractive, but yet here we are cuz everyone is using him.

so 9/10 times people rank up based on the kit , utility and damage..ease of use, versatility

but then you have fan favorites, like our friend who took DD HK to r5, we like to rank up characters we really like, its not just about how it looks, i enjoyed the comics with Madelyne and the TV series, so im happy she is coming into the game

my main point is that a fan-favorite character is influencing a rank up decision more than the kit or attractiveness

and what the hell, this is a marvel game, we're supposed to just have fun playing the game, a big part of why im playing is the marvel characters and lore itself, not just the game nodes and interactions

if I were to design her kit, i would aim for a Dr Doom level of power.

1, give her power steal when in limbo mode (she is the queen of hell as well, like magik), and make it so she can power steal even if opponent is at 3 bars of power.

2. jean grey force field (she already got that so thats great.

3. immunity to reverse controls

4. degen DOT ( i think she already has that)

some sort of DOT immunities as well, big yellow numbers, some ability to deal with buffs reliably , but to also be good agaisnt non-cosmics. throw in there some powerful syngergies since she is the goblin queen, and can support her team.. and there u go, doesn't need to be complicated like enchantress. she needs a simple kit like Dr Doom or Kushala, and good damage.. thats all. we are simple players, we hate reading 10 pages of abilities and nodes
