I play as long as Im having fun, if i can't ascend my favorite new champions, and get outmatched because whales have ascended R5s, then Im not having fun, and then I'll end up just logging in and doing the daily quest. So, I hope Kabam listens to us and finds a solution. What makes the game fun is people, that we are not playing alone, and who will whales flex on if all low-spenders and ftp quit the game?

With all the outrage, I fully expect kabam to change it tbh. It's times like this where we should be voicing our opinion. Kabam would only let stuff like this slide if we let them.

If it's Ascension, or 8*s, either way the game is going to have to add new layers to work towards. If they just stop at 7* R6, the game will most definitely die a slow death.

It's probably way too late for this to be changed. And to follow up on the point@GroundedWisdom makes, it's something for the long term, more so than now.

However, at the same time it's a bit unclear with all the stuff about relics being overcomplicated why the Ascension process for 7* feels just as complex. It feels a bit overengineered.

The need for an Ascension Pool also feels like it hasn't been fully explained. Why not just give Champions that can be Ascended the #Ascencion tag and let us choose who to Ascend? The pool itself feels a bit odd - yes, I expect Kabam to put their own champions in there but the Mystic class is way stronger than the rest.

I know and support the fact that Kabam need to keep the game evolving. I'm not sure though if this is actually better or worse than us getting 8* down the road. The core issue to me is still the imbalance between champion kits - the Serpent Conundrum.

What you’re saying is irrelevant. If 8*s were on the horizon, and you were forced to wait a year to get 8*s while the whales indulge on Valiant Featured Crystals (which is the only way to get 8*s), you’d have an idea on what’s actually going on.

It's not irrelevant at all.

People scoffed at the idea of 8*s coming, and this is another idea of how to stretch out progression. Either way, they have to add something. We're not just going to stop at 7*s end-of.

How they're choosing to roll this out is a different story, but we pretty much expected it to be trickled out either way. That's how things are always introduced.

If it was 8*s, people would complain about the pool. In this case, it's the idea that Ascension is select Champs. All the same thing in a different suit.

Idk when they backed down on the energy change they said not all decisions will be walked back on this seems to me like one of those times it doesn't matter what the community does or says they won't walk back on it

Just last week, they were firm on not giving everyone another box key after the promo code fiasco. They almost immediately walked back on it and gave everyone one.

Exactly!!

Same argument as "Wahhh wahhh whales!!!" Whales are like 1% of the player base, but yeah people that can't even finish act 6, are in Gold 1 war alliance, do AQ map 5, can't even clear the milestones on alliance Colosseum, or play URU in BG are worried about whales ROFL.
