The buff is actually mid. His damage was always insane, the issue was once he lost his fury, he had to spend 50 seconds ramping up again. With his "buff" his fury is only paused during the sp1 animation instead of for a set time like a pause timer. This is useless for Aarkus since you still have to bait out specials from the opponent meaning the fury pause gets no use.

In my view, she improved only a little — really just a tiny bit.
I use her at Rank 4, and she’s at level 80.
Since they put so much emphasis on her breakthrough, I believe it didn’t have much of an effect.
ah yh that makes sense. i can see the issue still, but the buff got me to use him again and i kinda like him anyways. they definitely couldve gave him longer on the fury but i think short to mid fights he will absolutely cook.
i mean looking at the buff again, they did increase the fury duration AND increased the sp1 burst. so more sp1s with more dmg. definitely a W imo. he does still have that loop issue but in the right fights he wont need to go twice since he can probably close out the fight quicker.
Plus the ascension, hes looking like an investment for me

with all these buffs, i always have in mind the ascension too. im always thinking ok this is a nice little jump, but i can imagine with ascension itll feel much much better
Did Aarkus always have all the armour breaks, anrmour shatters, and the cold snap based on proximity? It’s been a while since I played him and I remember the cold snaps but thought they were based on combo’s. Don’t remember the armour breaks and shatters.
yh those were always there. quicker to apply the armour breaks now tho too
@CheeseMaster482 The pause is mediocre, but he did also get an extra 5 seconds on the fury and cold aura, and I've honestly never found the re-ramp that bad especially for long fights. My biggest problem was building up the armor shattered which is much much easier now which improves the initial ramp and re-ramp. Also with the buff to the sp1 burst medium fights don't even need a re-ramp anymore.
yh my point exactly. i feel hes gotten enough improvements to close out fights much quicker, so the re ramp is almost unnecessary. Even then its gotten slightly quicker. once your at the stage of re ramping, those 5 power gains do alot too
CapSam is a bit better.
It's much easier to trigger his Power Drain, which is genuinely useful, if only for keeping your opponent off their SP3.
However, if you focus on stacking up multiple Physical Vulnerabilities, the damage is modestly better; to the point where it isn't actually frustrating to use him.
At 7r1/25, the best time I could manage Vs Winter Soldier improved from 2min36s to 2min09s.
So, better; but not exactly setting any records. And I don't see him shining in BGs, but with his utility kit,he could be pretty useful in War.
Her buff is mostly going to be apparent in nodes with attack boosting nodes, thats what her issue was. Her lower ferocity count also makes everything flow a little
I've always loved him and his buff feels soo much better, I never used the sp1 before this but now it has way more punch to it and it just feels so much better to build everything up
7*r1 feels much better so i can only imagine r4 or even r5 ascended
yh the sp1 spam with the sp3 fury goes insanely hard
it’s always been the best thing about his kit.
My only concern with Cap Sam is how much they decreased his base attack and base health. I haven't been able to test him at a high level, but I'm worried they decreased his base attack too much.
They haven't touched either of those stats.
They're exactly the same as recorded on AuntM.ai (RIP), which hasn't been updated in eighteen months.
