Battlegrounds suggestion

It’s a little frustrating facing people with far superior rosters for weeks because they are not bothered to play daily and only want to reach gladiator circuit. This mode is supposed to be competitive, but many “elite” players (read stacked rosters) just want to do the bare minimum to hit gladiator circuit. This makes it frustrating waiting around for days for them to move out of my current rank. Seems like you should incentivize playing daily. Something like having to start battle grounds within a few days of the season or risk losing rank/rewards. Then once you start you have to play four or five matches daily. If you don’t, you move down a rank. This would make players have to actively play and move up ranks quicker

Is this within Glad. ? If you say they only want to reach Glad. and then they stop doin more BG, is it in Glad that you are still facing them ? If so, how, if they had stopped playing ?

Or is this still Victory track, and you think they should have started earlier, so that they would have moved up well before your attempting to move up thru Victory ? So that you should have an easier time reaching Glad. yourself ?

I have reached gladiator circuit occasionally. It is just a royal pain in the butt due to Folks starting victory track way late. I played this game as a free player back from around 2014 to 2017 then took a long hiatus. I picked it back up and got to Valiant. The current way BG runs makes it tough to ever get radiance. I don’t expect to move up much on gladiator circuit after getting there (although it would not stop me trying) after reaching it, but FFS how many times do I gotta get derailed by someone with a whole deck of R4 7* characters vs my six. The radiance is one of the better rewards to rank characters too, which makes it harder to catch up to a point where I could play competitively. It currently doesn’t seem like a sustainable system for game longevity. Specifically, if newer players don’t have a chance to ever catch up because rewards are out of reach, why would they keep playing?

Forcing players to play daily is a non-starter for any idea that attempts to improve the game.

And forcing players to play five matches daily is definitely a non-starter. They've also made it way easier than when BG first started with the two tokens per win.

A non-starter for who? Folks who just want to maintain status quo maybe. Nobody forces anyone to do anything.

five matches really isn’t that many matches for a “competitive” game mode. The fact you say that seems to reinforce the point that I’m trying to make.

Not everyone should get to GC. If you can't, then this mode isn't built for you to make it there. You may want to do story content until you can get to GC. What mode says you should do ~an hour a day, plus the modes that you then actually enjoy? I'm not doing 5 matches a day when I hate BG.

but I do make it there, just a pain in the ass and near the end of the season due to lazy players waiting days to bother with it. Issue isn’t skill when you lose by fractions and only cause you have less of a stacked deck.

If your losing by mere fractions of a second or hp left, that is indeed a skill issue.

Not everyone has the free time to play 5 matches everyday. Also some people could have more time one day to play 10 matches, but then the next day they can't play, how would that be accounted for? There isn't a reasonable way to lock players out of content because they didn't complete 'x' number of matches a day.

5 matches daily for a whole season is around 150 matches. It's roughly 30 to get to the Glad circuit.

you keep on wanting to say that everyone who has a stronger roster than yours should all get on their horse earlier and plow thru to GC, leaving an open field of only players of your own or weaker left for you to have an easy time yourself for reaching GC.

That's what most people here are probably taking issue with.

And not sure what the “if they don’t play everyday, they should get bumped down in position” would help with. That actually would makes things worse for you because they would end up being in Victory track even longer, more likely to be matching with you or other lower roster even more. *again, unless you point is that by dangling that potential punishment, they will kick it into high gear sooner and clear the playing field for you.

Let me make sure I am cleae on this suggestion. You want people with more developed rosters to be forced to play and move up to GC quick so peoole like you can move up?….. There is a better suggestion, how about you work on your roster and try to beat them?

I just wished they made the match ups more even on all the modes ranked and unranked. I hate getting higher in the rankings cuz I come across rosters with 40 -40k champs and I got 15@20ish and 25 @17-19k . Needless to say I get killed and have to forfeit or take my medicine. Its a joke wish they'd fix it.
