Ascension & Essentia
So these last 2 game changing moves have quite possibly killed the game.
The launch of Essential was terrible and as it stands, the numbers still aren't right. Why are we earning less Essentia than the BG to Essentia conversion?
Kabam haven't bothered to buff BG rewards for however long, we still get the same rewards from Ally milestones and ranked rewards as we did over a year ago... Except now we actually get less value because the conversion to Essentia. So Kabam have gone so far away from buffing BG rewards they've actually nerfed them 😂
And speaking of BG, how have we lost 3 of the most potent BG players, 3 players who probably play the game mode and the entire game more than 99% of the player base, 2 of which dominated the BG brawl and them leaving has now probably ruined any Kabam plans the promote them in future content.
Liam, Andy and Bero spent ridiculous amounts of money on this game, they spent a ridiculous amount of time on this game and now they have quit all thanks to the god awful decisions Kabam has made with Ascension.
On top of everyone else who is leaving, the game is it's worse state I've personally ever seen it and I truly believe Kabams greed with ascension is the reason.
What genius thought it was a good idea to literally sell the next level of power in RNG, unlimited purchase crystals?
That combined with the choice in champions we can ascend, the RNG behind getting a champion we actually want to ascend and we can even ascend new champions until 2027 as a free to play or even people who don't want to spend £1000's on a single champion crystal? 2027?! Within the first couple of months of 2026 that is genuinely insane.
I don't know if there's any saving this, I don't think Kabam are even going to try from the lack of response on Ascension.
It's been a great 11 years, ups and downs but has been a genuine great experience for the majority. Without a doubt, the best mobile game I've ever played and would have loved to keep going. But I guess some people were just never meant to be in charge, and this is one of those times
