With the general consensus of course being that Kabam truly does not care. It's extremely sad that all of the outrage, frustration, and feedback from the community and their content creators will fall on deaf ears and they will do absolutely nothing to fix their messes.

I was here. There was just as much complaining and objection. "We're not starting over again! We're quitting."

Then more when the Basic pool came out and people complained about how they were "useless".

Very few people complained about having to start over, most people had been begging for 7* for quite a while and most posts were about how long overdue it was, not the fact that we had to start over.
Nobody called the champs in the pool useless lmfao what? The launch pool contained A TON of meta relevant top tier champs (no longer top tier these days but back then they were). We literally had Mantis, Shuri, Gorr, Wiccan, Titania, Sunspot, Korg, Chavez, KM, Domino, IMIW, Hulk, Venom, Bishop, Sasquatch. There was obviously a bit of fodder in there with champs like War Machine but definitely not as much as with the current ascension launch pool, over 70% of the stuff in there is either trash or fodder by today's standards, stop huffing copium and be real for once man it's not a good look when you're straight up lying to try to prove a point that's only true in your own head.
The shooting stars quest made the whole release even more fun and interactive.

If you think the 7* release was met with as much negativity as ascension then you need to go back and read everything again cause you are completely wrong.

To be fair, a lot of people have a mob mentality. They see a vid, a post, a message and they go crazy. Using stupid arguments like "paywall" and "how am i supposed to compete" to later on find out its comming from a 22k prestige player that thinks reaching GC is a big deal.

People are freaking out at this ascension issue, and its just the first 2 levels for some champs. They will forget all about it as soon as a major sale comes and they can get them themselves. Even F2P will forget all about it once the unit events start getting them closer to a gap ther will never close.

They already know and are counting on the player's hipocrisy of kicking and screaming to accept and encourage the same model later on.

That goes for all players, YTers, Content creators or everyone else... Complain and criticize; swipe the Almighty credit card as soon as they can buy the advantage...

Yes but there have been plenty of constructive posts on all these issues so this isn't just mob mentality where you just have 20 people yelling "screw Kabam" with no context whatsoever. There have been loads of comments and threads with multiple paragraphs and write ups explaining why all these decisions suck, and it turns out most people seem to agree with the same things. I can totally see the occasional "game's ****" comment as mob mentality but the current state of the game is actually as bad as the comments say and there's a logical explanation behind a lot of these comments.

So what do you expect them to do, besides take in the feedback? This is how they've chosen to release Ascension. They're not going to scrap the whole idea at this point, and I highly doubt they're going to say you know what, we're giving it all for free.

They gona move ascension crystals to 4th july,cyber and banquet so people can buy and pull more.

also release 2nd wave ascension crystal by end of year or early next year.

The only thing I want them to do is change new champion ascension. I really couldnt care less about how they've implemented the rest. That can all work itself out eventually through tuning.

The whole new champ system however needs to go and be changed into something else

They're not going to lose money. You know as well as anyone people are going to spend regardless. Whenever there's a new shiny toy, people spend.

I really don't care about the regular pool, it is what it is at this point and it's too late for them to change it, all they can really do is remember this the next time they even think of making dumb decisions such as RNG based ascensions and a launch pool that's 70% fodder (though Kabam tipically is a company that doesn't learn from their mistakes so I won't get my hopes up). The fact that RNG wasn't a factor in the first iteration of ascension, and the fact that the 7* launch pool had about 60% top tier champs, were the main reasons both ascension and 7* launch were so successful. They should've known doing the complete opposite would result in nothing but frustration and negativity because we don't want that.

Now, I'll tell you what they can definitely still change if they stop being so greedy and deaf, and actually listen to the feedback. Give a certain amount of ascension materials when you pull a sig 200 dupe from the Titan, nothing would be given for free this way, and it would take a while for you to get one of the new champs ascended but at least they wouldn't be completely paywalled which is stupid.

As I said before, Kabam has been open to taking feedback on things about the game. Not on their business model or direction. Ascension is what it is. Its their business direction for the next couple of years. I wouldn't expect them to bend the arm at all.

the problem is and I agree with Andrew, lag, and the rest that ascension should not have been rng based. I’ve pulled 240 crystals to get ascension on mr sucktastic twice. I had to go the full grace for both ascensions to pull a junk champ twice in a row. Ascension in its current form sucks and needs reworked.
