Champion box for spring cleaning … confirmed?!?

That’s A LOT of coming soon champs for next AW season. Gotta be a champion box coming. Will be champs we’ve been waiting for (like CGR, Ghost, AA) or a some surprise buffed meme champs (Beast, Agent Venom, Loki, etc)

On first glimpse all of these are champs who can currently be ascended. Given that May we should be getting a heart of fire/ omega days type event I am assuming that this time around it will focus on champion ascension. Question is if we get new 7 stars or old 7 stars ascensions.

”Coming Soon” has always referred to new champions that are going to be added in the coming months. There’s no reason to hide existing champions behind the “Coming Soon” label when they’re already in the game. There’s probably just a few more than usual because this Saga is the first to ever encompass all 6 classes equally, so they’re probably just gonna add all the new champions to the tactic pool. They always add the new champions to the current saga, they just don’t get the war tactic tag if they don’t align with the class theme (for a recent example, see J.J.J. and Blue Marvel).

that was my initial thought til I started counting and saw how many Coming Soon spots there were (I think I counted 9). May/June champs will be a few of those, but box makes the most sense.

Lol, do you really believe you're saying this huge roster is made up of new champions? The entire saga is about Ascension champions, so obviously Kabam won't be leaking 7* champions for may's event. The only thing that confuses me is that, apparently, Ghost Rider is not in the tags, since 6 classes are moving to the May event and we are left with Science (Wave), Cosmic and Mutant for June (I believe first is Phyla-Vel) as the champions of the month.

Yuuuuusssss a Mutant for Pride is what I was hoping for too looking over the 'coming soon's and there's so many possible options.

Rictor, Shatterstar, Mystique, Rachel Summers, Daken, Anole, Mercury, Tempo, Pyro (the other one), Somnus.

If I had money, I would bet that it's one of them.

The only questionable thing is... Pride's monthly champions have almost always (if ever) been connected to each other. It wasn't an indirect connection, so it seems quite interesting.

Hmm who was June's 2024 champ besides Northstar, I don't think there was any correlation. (I just went back and did some digging, it was Arcade. So, a champion who is associated with the X-Men, but not Northstar particularly and is not a queer character).

But if they were to do a correlation and it's Mutant & Cosmic, maybe it's not Phyla-Vel (is this basically the 'tease' because of Cosmic Invasion game?) and maybe it's Shatterstar & Rictor. Shatterstar is a human mutant, but is also associated with Mojoworld and is somewhat considered a space/alien hero.

II mean, if the connection is not specific (two related LGBTQ champions), they're connected in one way or another. Arcade was literally pestering Northstar in his solo edition.

So the coming soon number is 9. There are two mutants, two cosmic, and two science for defenders that brings us to 6 of 9. Then the remaining are 1 tech, 1 mystic and 1 skill for attackers.

This certainly is interesting. Could June be Agatha (mystic) and Phyla-Vel (Cosmic) ? Depending upon what class Wave is she could be one of the science spots, the 1 skill spot or 1 of the cosmic spots. Curious what class do you guys think Wave will be?

the more I think about it, the more I think they’re just gonna drop 6 ascended versions of champs we already have 🥴… Chavez being the new saga champ makes me feel almost certain.
