Confusion regarding champ specific ascension tokens

I guess I’m a little confused on how we get champ ascension tokens from empowered grace crystals. I assumed from either the Greater Empowered or Empowered Grace crystals pulling a champ that was already ascended would give you that champion specific ascension token. For example, I pulled an ascended Emma Frost during the first 40 crystals, and then pulled an ascended Emma again during the batch of 90 but never received her ascension token. Maybe I’m confused but I thought pulling an ascended champ would give you their specific token.

What they're saying is definitely possible. You can pull an ascended and non ascended version of a champ out of that crystal but im pretty sure we have had posts on here showing that if you pull both in the same batch they are visually distinct. So either this is a new visual bug (@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex) or you did actually pull 2 ascended Emma's and support is just assuming what happened based on the result

That’s why I’m confused. They are saying that one is an ascended pull and the other is just a regular duped pull but the pictures clearly show “visually” that both separate pulls are the ascended version of Emma. I would like some sort of confirmation if this is a bug or was this two legitimate ascended Emma pulls please. @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex @KabamPinwheel

OP, if you have only pulled ascended Emma twice, I think that means you Emma is ascension level 1 and you should have an Emma token in your stash.

For me, the visual bugs in inventory are a mess right now. You may have an Emma token that looks like a relic gem or some other non-ascension item. I would tap on everything that looks unusual in your “Champion Items” tab in the Inventory section. You might have the token, it may just not look like a resource related to Emma or related to ascension.

I think this is correct. Being that to get A1 you need to pull the ascended champ once, and that champ automatically ascends. To get A2 you need to pull that same ascended champ 2 more times, plus have class tokens and go through the manual upgrade.

This is why you need to pull the same ascended champ 66 times to get ascension 11, not counting all the class tokens you need, which I believe require more and more for each level, too.

This is also why 8* rarities would be more pro player than ascension, at least in its current state, in my opinion.

Right but that’s my problem. That second time I pulled an ascended Emma I didn’t get an Emma token so instead of being 1/2 on her tokens I’m still 0/2.

It feels unfair to talk about what's required to get ascension that we literally can't access right now when the current level of chase is built around only r2. When the higher ranks become more available so will ascended champions and its not impossible to assume that they'll introduce generic champion tokens or simply increase the ways in which we can get them when we need more than 3 per

another wrinkle to consider — we are about to get 1000 or 1500 more t2 dust from 9.4. Which will put me around 1000 over the cap.

And short of buying valiant crystals for featured champs, I don’t think there’s any way for me to use any of the dust. I have a couple of single champ tokens, so halfway to a2 with no ability to close the gap while the dust is expiring from the stash.
