Coliseum - Another Perfect counter got ruined by AAR

Could we please for once have the "Force of Will" equivalent attached to Key Node in a fight.

Just for once a pro-players design fight please.

The amount of time where the perfect counters get shut out, just because they can't activate the Required Node for the fight design due to AAR

Once again Ironheart can't take this Gentle Alliance Coliseum fight as well as she can be, because her own kit is preventing her to get the Grit Passive, which is part of the fight design.

Frustration is part of the fight design.

If I understand correctly, the AAR to offensive ability of mutants is what’s operating here (from tracking).

If so, I’m unclear why the game would code a Grit passive on the attacker when parrying as an offensive ability.

Or perhaps I’m missing the interaction intended by the game team.

Came here to say exactly that. 3 tags, perfect counter & it's f**ked cause Kabam... sometimes I wonder why I still play this garbage

Good point. I have no points in Assassin, and Despair doesn’t affect AA as far as I know.

So is it Ironheart’s tracking debuff? As a passive tracking it shuts down Offensive AA. So a giving you a Grit passive when you parry is an offensive ability?

Conversely, it also shuts down Falter, so you can’t willpower heal from that.

Guess so, because I had this issue with Ironheart but not Red Skull. Which sucks for me since the former is R4 and the latter is R2. So obnoxious.

The issue with Adamant Axiom aside, Offensive Ability Accuracy reduction works by applying an Ability Accuracy while the champion (here, Gentle) is attacking. So any ability that would trigger during attacks (the grit passive) will fail

There was exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago with Ironheart Vs Prowler: a beneficial node when you parry the opponent gets turned off, despite the presence of Adamant Axiom:

This is definitely something they should fix...

On the plus side, the three tags involved are good for Lady Deathstrike; and she can shut down Gentle's Unstoppable with her own kit.

But it doesn't, the parry is happening when the opponent is performing an offensive action. If the opponent was triggering an ability when getting hit, that would be defensive AA. You're correct that parry itself is tied to defensive ability accuracy (because you are being struck in the block), but it would be tied to the attackers ability accuracy and not Gentle's

So, Karolina, Maestro and Dust as well; plus champs like Ant Man (in the unlikely event anyone planned to use him...)

Maestro and glancing is very inconsistent for some reason. Like when you fight prowler, you'll find that the Pursuit/Vigilance will occasionally trigger if you keep spamming parries, even if the glancing is uo

Is the sleep node currently affected by ability accuracy? Wasn't the whole point of adding Adamant Axiom so that this "cheese" would not work?
