Kabam said it was too late to change the bg meta this month, which I get. How about they just give us the last blade piece in the mail so that those of us (many of us) who don't like the meta can just skip it.

Im sure there's no chance at all of this but might as well see since game moral seems lower than usual lows after ascension and it would make me happy 😊

What i find funny about their response is that there was actually way more than enough time to change things so it wouldn't play out like this. They just chose not to.

As soon as we were told this was going to happen every aspect of the comminity including the CCP repeatedly told kabam that this was going to be an awful decision, an awful meta, and make alot of people angry. That was before even the off-season including this meta started. Then once the off-season started they got a whole torrent of hate and negative comments about it and they just looked at everything and decided not to do anything still.

Then they flip everyone the middle finger with the blade piece and get on stream trying to say " oh gee sorry guys theres really nothing we could or could have done about this. I guess youre just going to have to deal with it tee hee. Oh by the way dont forget to spend 40k units on this NEW SALE we have coming this month !!!!"

Who wants to part ways with 2.5K units? This BG season is actually unplayable. So far I have faced people with decks full of R5s and R4s. How am I supposed to beat them if health point matter no more?

Giving one piece away for free is not the same as giving away the whole champ. Even if a paragon got the BGs piece, they can't buy Blade since one of the pieces is locked to 9.4. You're acting like everyone with four pieces hasn't already put in the work.

A more logical alternative would be to put the BGs piece somewhere else. Of course, Kabam won't do that for some reason.

We're 2 stellar champs in and so far we haven't gotten anything crazy, like the recent Carina Challenges having a piece being locked with. It's all been bgs and Colisem, which is ridiculously easy, just grindy. Asking for it for free is some next level entitlement.

People who can't get these pieces thus far simply don't have the roster or skills required. Sucks, but that's how chases go.

Battlegrounds is specifically paid to win by design, look at the rosters. You can’t be competitive with rosters unless you have a minimum of 30 r4 and r5 seven star champs, it’s a shame but unfortunately it’s the nature of this game mode.

It’s not endgame just because it fills a void. Sure, at the top end of BGs GC that might be considered endgame based on roster/skill, BUT most players going for a chase piece are not playing “endgame content” to get the piece (VT and Uru). So the argument that BG is endgame content in and of itself is false.

Arenas could be considered endgame by that logic.

Clearly, Kabam knows that PVE players don’t want to do PVP. That’s at least why Kabam isn’t forcing ppl to play AW, and instead made the PVE version of AW Showcase to stick a chase champion piece there. So the logic that Kabam “must” put a chase piece in BGs is specious at best.

This is the one (of many seasons) where players don't want to put in the effort to hit GC. But also, with this meta, things are tilted more (though not entirely) in the favor of those with larger accounts. So for smaller accounts there will legitimately be some amongst them that cannot make the GC when they could in previous seasons. In a game where the only objective is to kill faster, bigger will beat better more often than before.

1: yes, that's how chase champs work. Pieces get put in content you may not like. Do it, or suck it up and pay the units later.

I hate incursions, always have, but I don't whine and complain about having to do content I don't like when there's rewards I want.

Either suck it up, or pay later.
