Yet another good thing ruined by the dumdums.
So long story short, don't do EQ until a few days before expiring and make sure you ranked up your account with everything before you start, so you can get the max Adaptive Difficulty?
Well, yeah, that's literally the way it's always been since introducing it. It's common sense that if you rank up more before going in, you'll have a higher score. So delaying till the end would give you the most benefit.
But the reality is, a lot of it is so negligible that you should just do it whenever you really feel like doing it.
Not a good thing if it is intentional. Sometimes players want benchmark such that they can calculate (even it is rough number) their rewards from EQ if they can reach next prestige tier. This information is meaningful.
Even your rewards are based on prestige "curve", why not introducing something like sig stone page, whereas players can check the reward change if prestige increased by (say) 50 or 100. You can set this number bucket such that players can at least have some idea on short term prestige target.
So does this basically mean… we should wait until the last possible moment every month to start the quest to maximize rewards? Not sure I am a fan of this.
It has always been like that since we got the new eq format
What need to remove it, it was such a cool feature. I know that rewards increase gradually with prestige, but knowing what extra rewards I can get if I add +2000 or +5000 in my prestige was a kinda motivation for me.
But we got kaboomed
If possible bring it back 🙏
Except that before it allowed you to make informed decisions about going in. If I was only a few points away from the next tier, I could wait a few days until I had done some rank-ups. If I was like 100-120 points away from the next tier, then I was unlikely to close that gap without the rewards I would get from running EQ in the first place.
Thats a good addition, I didn't like the Prestige in EQ. Thank God they change it.
For everyone who said they liked that rewards are locked by Prestige, shut up.
Rewards are still based on prestige
is there a location I can check the prestige limits on my own? k
Thanks Mike! ❤️
I am still salty af with this EQ. People with over inflated rosters can lower the difficulty. Other people can't make the difficulty higher for better rewards. Just in case I am not even trying to flex skills, worse case scenario I would use expiring revives instead of selling them..
Please bring back the tiers per prestige. As some have mentioned here, you can understand if you're close to the next tier so you can wait to do the proper upgrades or just start with it.
The tiers were pseudo in a sense. But I definitely preferred to see what next rewards I'm building my prestige towards. I 100% want to see how my t5a was progressing.
It's sad to see things getting ruined cus some dumdums got confused.
in principle it was like this before but practically it was not. Previously I can see the gap to the next tier of rewards, if I'm like 900 prestige short and I don't see myself ranking up any 7* within the next couple weeks, then I would start EQ right away. If i'm like only 250 prestige short, I would try to do just enough rank up to cross that threshold and then start EQ. There's a big difference in terms of time management and quality of life with the tiered rewards clearly visible.
i was pressing all the ! or ? around the EQ interface a couple days ago and can't find the tiers anymore, so damn disappointed
Oh I wouldn't mind that idea.
Mabe being able to go 2 levels higher for a bit more rewards.
@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex could this ever be consideration?
I dont think so since it's based on progression. The only reason we are able to go down is because we have already achieved the next progression tier.
Elders are able to do valiant and below because they have already achieved those.
From a design standpoint it wouldnt make sense to allow someone who hasn't achieved elder to do elder difficulty and get those rewards.
I didn't mean a progression level difficulty up. I meant a prestige bump up.
Even better idea, just let all Elders play for max rewards.
I thought they did that by mistake.... but now I understand that they just want us to have hard time because there isn't any good reason to block it.
Kabam, if you take that from us now players will try to understand the breakdown of every prestige level and the rewards you get from each of them.
Kabam i try to explain to you in a way i know:
ok so I'm CPA , my work is with numbers, CPAs like 40 50 years ago work harder... but now I have excel so my work relatively to 40 years ago easier. So what kabam did its like take the excel and say - we like to make your life harder but please keep playing 🤷♂️
I Truly don't get it 🤦♂️🙃 Something so simple why you change it.
Becuase it was not so simple for eveyone. Some nincompoops didn't understand how it worked. So they had to dumb it down, but since they couldn't, they removed it completely.
The reason they are doing what they are doing is to incentivize spending. If you could sit at 35k prestige and earn 40k prestige rewards by increasing difficulty, why would you spend to increase your prestige?
Money money money…MONNNNN AYYY!
Also to the person who commented about implementing a visual curve feature like sig stones…it took, what? 11 years to implement that QoL feature? Great suggestion, but completely unrealistic to expect something like that from this group of devs, unfortunately.
Kabammed yourself with this comment 😅
The same question from me. Previously I could plan when I step into EQ. Now when I cannot see how much rewards change with prestige threshold gain, I don’t know.
This is downgrade as this functionality existed before. Kabam deleted it or removed from UI.
Please return it back ASAP.
It's not coming back. It gone 4eva
Even though it's a curve I was able to use it so see what I would get at certain milestones and decide if it was worth it or not to enter the EQ or wait. If I saw I was close to getting more t5a for example, I would wait. If it's just one extra sig stone then I'll go in immediately. Now I just lost my ability to plan ahead unless I ask other people what their rewards are at higher prestige. And then it's all about comparing. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not important and barely a difference but every little bit counts. Especially in this Rich get Richer format of EQ.
You can choose to do that if you want, but that's why there's a warning when you start. You will be locked once you start.
