In hindsight it may be faster to farm 2500 units than play battlegrounds this season
IDK, I'm a f2p player with a decent roster, and this season was the fastest that I reached gladiator circuit. It only took about 2 1/2 hours of playtime. Most of the rosters I went against were very similar with 3-5 r5 7* and the rest at r4. If you ban the r5, it really is just a game of strategy and skill.

You mean just finishing the fight faster. 0 skill or strategy involved in that especially if you get garbage rng.
There is absolutely strategy and skill involved- finishing fast while placing defenders that can stall the opponent's picks is still skill, just less skill than normal metas where hp is also a concern. RNG is also always a problem in BGs, garbage rng will screw you over no matter what meta it is.
that’s my plan. BGs haven’t been fun in months. I hardly go in to collect my “play 5 matches” rewards for starting wherever I start anymore.
Tell me how is SKILL supposed to work if these situations keep poppin like a wild ad every other second.

I am going to miss out on blade piece bcoz of this bugged Battleground.
You are going to miss it cause you weren't able to kill that shocker with Cull and you have a 6* defender. Not because of an inexistent bug.
So because you lost a fight you would've lost in any other season with any other meta, it's the fault of a bug that doesn't exist that you can't earn the piece?

Battlegrounds is a complete failure this season and Kabam couldn't care less.

And you focused on a few aspects of my post. The biggest issue is passive AI. It just doesn't want to throw specials or even attack. And lemme tell you something, the amount of times I have witnessed my heavy attack being resisted, I swear every other heavy attack was almost resisted. For instance I used juggs unstoppable to kinda mimic the combo into heavy attack pattern and 8 out of 10 times were failure.
I’ve been in Diamond 2 for DAYS!!! I’ll win one match and then lose 3 in a row. Then win one more and lose 3 again, thus having to start Diamond 2 from scratch. YOU WIN KABAM! I will spend the 2500 units for the blade piece but BGs will never see me again 😔😢 sentiments of most players
I actually focused on all of your points.
Everyone plays the same game, its not like you have a losing version and others have a premium one. We all fight the same AI, we all have RNG on drafts, we all fight opponets with SYG mastery. So if you feel you are losing because all the factors you listed only affect you, you gotta be the unluckiest player in the world.
This meta has been so bad that genuinely it has me mad. I started Silver 1 and it was easy until I reach Vibranium 4 which I have sat in for almost a week and a half. I could win 1 or 2 with 4 medals, then loose 9-10 times IN A ROW. I just got more shields today and was one medal away from ranking to Vib 3, four shields wasted, now I’ve lost again 8 in a row. Kabam should jaut genuinely give everyone the piece after this meta and as the guy above said give everyone who did get the piece Ascension 2.
Eh! I locked in and got to V1 in two days. RNG was up to screw me up but I somehow managed it. And yeah man I might me the unluckiest player out there. The amount of setbacks I have seen in the past decade of this game, man I can't even begin to name them all.
Yes, RNG is there but the problem is, with no health points factored in R5s and R4 rosters cleared the floor with R3s. I could have gotten V1 waaaaaay earlier if this thing was not there. And at some point I accepted this system as well, but the passive A.I. just wasting my time was the biggest foff to me. Plus, it didn't help that my defenders were acting sh*t while their were in the top of their lead. Overall, it was a very bad experience. If it wasn't for 2500 units for a single piece, I had already long left Bgs.
