Degen in the mystic class and Mojo-proofing the game

Had a feeling this was coming eventually. Mojo has seen a huge uptick In value the last 12 months in alliance war because of how versatile he is. His main source of damage is degeneration, it's passive, and very few champions are immune or resistant to it. He's not as powerful as Kate but he has a similar advantage.

This is pure conspiracy theory but I think the recent addition of degen to mystic is less about class consistency (although that's 100% a thing in the game) and more about setting up the stage to control Mojo better down the road.

The Magik buff gave her degen. Same with Ghost Rider. Dracula, Maddie, and stellar forged Blade came with it and are all relatively recent.

And now Wave's sig ability passively heals up to 70% of damage taken from degen.

The shift is coming. RIP Mojo : (

This isn't new. Most Hulks have some way to deal with degen. Spider ham, count nefaria. And there's some synergies with some of the spiderverse heroes and quicksilver. And they always do this, make a champ with X abilities, then make the counter.

I don't believe there's a great conspiracy. That's how the game has been developed all along. Champs with Abilities shine, other Champs are released with counters. No Champ is ever unchecked in some way.

It's always been this way, but since Mojo is old, this sudden change especially when tied to his sudden resurgence makes me think it's because of him, but that's just speculation.

I would agree with you a lot more if Mojo was released last year.

Its expected, since it's a science class champ who counters it.

On contrary, the anti-class champs causes more issues for players (not for kabam).

No skill has degen (maybe forgetting someone). So her degen resistance wont come into play at all

Kingpin has degen on his sp1, and elsa has degen when she has a bleed on her.

Regardless, the degen healing is only against mystic champions.

Good thing is that Elsa doesnt care, her degen stops regen altogether, eg gulk.

But yes, KP have to bite the bullet on his sp1. One case is still not that much in the bigger picture. Shock on mutants from techs is anti class ability affecting larger champion pool.
