Kabam couldn't pay me enough to defend them. How am I defending them exactly? For years high level players have asked for a store with low level resources - now we have such a thing. The store is serving a purpose that is fine (could use t4cc and t5b though), there's just way too much mysterium coming in and some should be swapped out for essentia.

I imagine your problem is that you aren't a high level player and can't get the essentia and radiance to get the higher level stuff at the pace you want, so you want Kabam to make it up for you. That doesn't make the store a problem.

Honestly, your response makes me question whether you actually play the game leave it alone even an endgame level, because if you did, you would already understand what an endgame player is talking about.

Endgame players do not need low-tier resources. We already have more than enough of them. Outside of the occasional piece of content that requires 2-star or 3-star champions, there is virtually no reason for an endgame account to spend Mysterium on the resources currently filling the store.

Since you seem so interested in my account, my stash is overflowing with high-tier resources, and both my Radiance and Essentia are approaching their caps. Not that I owe you that explanation in the first place.

The reason I started this discussion is because I am forced to waste Mysterium. The store offers almost nothing that has value for my level of progression. That’s the entire point. Endgame players continue to earn Mysterium but have no meaningful way to spend it.

You keep repeating that the store is for low-tier and legacy resources, but that completely ignores the fact that a significant portion of the player base has progressed beyond needing those resources. If the store is going to be relevant to everyone, it needs options that are actually useful to endgame players as well.

It's not meant to be relevant to everyone, it is meant to be a place where you can get low tier resources. If you want higher stuff go to Essentia and radiance stores. What's so hard to understand about that dude

honestly, with the advent of collectives, it wouldn’t kill them to put t4a and t5b in Mysterium AND essentia. at least for the higher progressions (Elder, Valliant). it’s odd (and frustrating) having a leveling bottleneck between 5* and 6* r1 r2 dudes with a developed roster of 7*s.

I honestly don’t understand why it is so difficult for you to grasp such a simple point.

This is a game with multiple progression levels. Ideally, every major currency and store should have something relevant for players at each stage of progression. If a currency becomes worthless for a certain group of players, then what exactly is the purpose of that currency for those players?

My suggestion was never about removing low-tier resources or taking anything away from newer players. The point was to add options that also provide value to players who have progressed beyond needing those resources. That seems like a fairly reasonable position.

What I find strange is how hard some people are fighting against the idea of giving more value and more choices to different segments of the player base. A suggestion benefiting endgame players does not somehow hurt developing players.

In any case, I just saw the latest Mysterium Store update, and it actually looks quite good. Ironically, it appears to be moving in the exact direction I was suggesting from the start: keeping useful options for lower progression players while also adding items that have value for more advanced accounts.

So perhaps my point wasn’t as unreasonable as some people were trying to make it out to be.
