If his new loop was utilized effectively, it would have been over a lot faster. The Champ has been live for one day - It was a value buff that took a lot of the rigidity out of his kit and added more consistency across the board. Thor can do a lot of damage and will be a solid Champion for Coliseum, Towers, and other game modes. He likely won't be a Battlegrounds nuke; not every Champion is going to be geared to that mode.
They arent even playing the buffed version correctly in this video
Trust me you guys made that very clear when Blue Marvel came out, the question tho is why does it feel like you guys are desperately trying to kill the game mode lately? Go through all these scoring and saga changes nobody even asked for when the obvious ones such as a simple blacklist and whitelist system have been suggested by multiple people multiple times, I’ve even seen people begging for Omega Pools yet you guys just keep doing stuff to kill the mode to the point it feels like it’s personal lol and now we get a buff to a champ that keeps him just as useless for BGs when BGs are already dying? Might as well delete the mode entirely at this point if you guys have no intentions of making it relevant and fun anymore.
Definitely doesn’t have as much depth as mcoc in terms of content but they do keep introducing new game modes every now and then. Last time I played it Klash Towers (closest thing to a BGs style mode) and Krypt (AQ like mode) weren’t a thing but I just started playing both and they’re pretty fun, definitely have way better design than current BGs and AQ in mcoc. Character design however is peak, the do add mid characters every now and then but the big difference is with proper equipment even those mid characters can do something, most of them are bangers tho their character design is almost always on point and even though some of them are a little game breaking the game is still able to stand on its own and remain challenging.
The Season starting tomorrow is a completely standard Battlegrounds season. Phyla-Vell will be a strong Battlegrounds Champion. Buffing Thor to not be a Battlegrounds nuke is not equatable to wanting to kill the mode.
Still trash, not surprising✌🏽
Thor Rags always had damage. Even if his buff was fodder, he benefits a lot from 7 star stats.
The future of Mcoc is obviously Coliseum and Towers. Having BGs serve as the benchmark for how good a champ is no longer makes sense. His buff is good, some BGs clowns just need to accept their game mode is irrelevant. Super excited for Towers to completely overshadow it.
Game is finally saved.
Still waiting for that OG Thor buff, hopefully it comes before Avengers Dooomsday. Same with Captain America
Idk why bother buffing that Thor if his animation isn't changed. It must be the most hated animation in the game. The og Thor deserved to be buffed much more.
He also doesn't have any cool mechanics like nefaria sp parry, nothing to make him fun to play. He's basically Gambit with power gain, but without Gambit's cool personality.
And he's bad for bgs
It was changed after all the backlash you probably would’ve received, wasn’t this the original announcement:
Another saga control after the first one was such a flop everyone hated is just wild.
I didn’t say he needed to be a nuke, and neither did I say he’s the only reason that’s making it seem like you guys want to kill the game mode. I said that mediocre champs like him and Blue Marvel paired up with the fact that you’ve been switching metas with things nobody asked for (you have your own ccp members almost entirely against every single change you guys made the past three months) make it seem like you are trying to kill the game mode, it’s not one thing it’s multiple things combined. Furthermore, it’s odd that you guys say you’re trying to shake up the meta then proceed to design champs that have zero chance of beating the usual suspects not only in damage but in versatility too. How can you expect to shake up the meta when you release Joaquin then immediately release Spider Woman? You buff Ghost Rider but then Madelyne is coming in at the same time, and the truth is these champs could’ve absolutely been up there too if the damage was there without having to throw multiple sp1s sp2s and in some case even sp3s (yes that last part is directly aimed at Blue Marvel worst champ of the year so far)
Do you huys test Champs before complaining?? I do Red Hulk Lab of Legends and beating him my my 6* Thor Result Remain HP:96 % / Hits: 114 / Time: 2:07 / BestHit: 48k vs 7* It is a good result. And sometimes it tooks me 4:11 because I was testing different rotations like multi SP1 to climb combo faster. To reach 2min I've learn that reaching SP3 first and running for SP2 to get 2x Fury is the best start.
You’re acting like he wasn’t already doing fights like that pre buff. The buff is **** not because he doesn’t have damage but because he stayed virtually the same they just added a small amount of utility but the rotation stays exactly the same.
What I’ve noticed specifically with champs now is if their main damage is shock. Theyre going to be mid/ bad. Its a bad dot effect to have with how many champs that are energy resistant/ immune. Only champ that gets away with this is okoye cause she also has bleed and can rely on or the other if a champ is immune.
Ive also noticed that champs with sp3s in their main damage loop. Need to do a lot of damage with that sp3. If they don't they're just not going to be used over other champs since sp3s can be a chore even with the skip button.
Thor rags has issues with both these parts. He requires sp3 that doesn’t do a large amount of damage in of itself and he relies on shock. So what you're left with is a champ who really isn't useful over a lot of skill champs.
Then you have another skill released at a similar time that is much better (doctor bong) what does he not do/ need to do? He doesn’t need sp3 and he doesn’t rely on shock damage. He does big damage on sp2 with heavy spam. And thats typically a major way on how now you can see a good vs bad champ in most classes now. Do they need sp3? And does the champ have a debuff/ effect thats not useful? If either is yes to either question that champ is going to struggle to find a place in the game.
Could u make a similarly vid... Oh wait the old Thor was erase 🧓.
Okay, we take ur word if see he does more(unless his ramp up champ then yeah)
Why is his Animation hated???
I haven't had chance to pay the buffed Thor Rags or go through his buff in detail yet, but I'm curious about the comment about him not being a BG nuke.
Shouldn't the likes of Thor Rags be better at short, one-off fights like BG, Arena etc? I know it's dangerous to mention 'lore' but on a theme and backstory I'd expect Thor Rags, Hulk Rags and Korg to be great (if not the best, but great) options for most BG metas.
as the biggest Thor rags fan I only have one problem why is he not saga!!!!
The last three buffs we voted for have all been duds. X-23 is barely more useful than she was before (not limiting the opponent's power gain during her spam is a glaring defect), Ghost Rider stands as tall in the mystic class as he did before, and this "value buff" for Rags is the definition of a lateral move. On the bright side, we don't have to waste titan shards or box pulls on him, so that is an improvement over the other two.
If you're gonna make us vote for things, the results need to actually be exciting and make us want to incorporate the champs into our rosters. Rags isn't anymore worth playing now than he was before even if he is "better".
Can't help but be nervous for the Cable update.
Yes
A strong skill Champion
But not to the difficult to face Amora (Mystic)😍 or Serpent (Cosmic).
And if you think a bit we have
Yelena 😍 (Skill)
Onslaught (Mutant)
Bastion (Tech)
We need a harder defender for Science.
But with many points to dex the specials and moves as Amora 😍 and Serpent the number ones.
Just imagine Thor Ragnarok much harder to dex , so that would be a great buff
Thanks Kabam
Don’t underestimate them. They can still slide him in to the titan 6 months from now just like they did rhino.
Well if you ignore shuri, and nimrod, and red skull, and silver sable,
Ghost Rider is good, Dr Strange is excellent, I’d say these two buffs are above the others this year, above Thor Rags
Cmon now, people like to cherrypick.
Cyclops and Dr Strange? They were also voted by the community and turned out quite well.
Unfortunately this will be the case it looks like. If Towers is indeed successful, then BGs will become a standard pvp mode while the main focus will be on pve once again. Therefore Kabam is listening to us
Strange is mid, cyclops is useless
Then you’re clearly not playing the same game as us, my friend
I'm not sure you even play the game episode lmao
My post was specific enough to make the intended point, and you can't change it by broadening the scope. And Strange was voted for, yes, but lost his vote, so we're not going to count that in the point if you wanna stretch it out.
The point is, they have failed in the last three and are well settled into a downward trend with buffs that the community should've been able to be excited for.
Cyclops is straight up ass no idea what you’re talking about, Strange is good but Ghost Rider is 100% mid and Thor Ragnarok is still just Thor Ragnarok almost nothing changed. So yes overall buffs have been **** just because one was decent doesn’t erase the fact that the rest have been terrible.
