Why is T5BC still so difficult to obtain?

Hi everyone,

As a Valiant player, I mainly need T5BC for upgrades that are relevant to the Collective, especially for 6★ champions that do not have a 7★ version available.

Why not add T5BC to the Mysterium Store or the Loyalty Store with unlimited availability?

At the moment, it's only available in the Essentials Store, and even there it's limited. Valiant players can also get some from the Daily Quest, but the amount is very small.

This situation feels absurd.

As a Valiant player, the resources that matter most to me are T7BC, T4A, T5A, T6BC, and Class Catalysts. I don't expect those to be available without limits, as that could create an imbalance and wouldn't be fair.

But T5BC? Why not?
I genuinely don't understand why such a basic resource is still so heavily restricted for Valiant players.

It's newly in the mysterium store. You can get unlimited quantities once you reach Elder. Until you reach Elder, you should be more focused on moving forward than working backwards.

But you don't know, tou are trying to maximize collectives, instead of maximizing progression level. Once you get to Elder maximizing collectives becomes easier.

It's quite simple. What I'm saying is that NARWH4L's "Until you reach Elder, you should be more focused on moving forward than working backwards" doesn't mean anything because your resources spent taking a 6* up to Rank 3 (you know, your Tier 5 Basics) don't in any real way overlap with your resources to take 7* champs up. So their statement is meaningless because none of my 7* resources are going to 6*s.

None?... So the essentia he would spend to buy the t5b just appears out of nowhere?... Wether its mats, currency, iso, gold whatever it is used on 6" ae a Valiant is pretty much wasted unless its a champ that has not been released as 7*... Based on his shortage I would say he is leveling and ranking any 6* that would give him points.

It's not meaningless. Resources shouldn't be spent towards getting extra low level resources to focus on things that don't add to the roster that will actually progress you forward. To each their own, yes, but it's more worthwhile to fight through Act 9 than to fight for extra T5BC and then get all the resources you want. It is well within a player's ability to access the unlimited resources that they want. For someone to say it is "absurd" that they can't get as much as they want when getting as much as they want is attainable is quite absurd.

well a) you just stated its use and purpose - that yes, ranking 6 stars that aren't released as 7 stars, of which there are still quite a bit. and b) your 'essentia' argument is part of the literal point of this thread, about the T5Basics scarcity.

Is it not valuable and meaningful for literally every single player to rank up, at least to a certain point, 6 star characters that just don't exist as 7 stars?

There isnt too many 6* that dont exist as 7*. Most of those are awful champs. They wont impact collectives THAT much.

No, not that much, but every bit helps.

The reality is just HAVING a 7 star is a huge bump in points. Even more if you get a 7 star ascended.

But the majority of ranking UP the 7 stars, until you get to rank 5, is pretty nominal. Ranking up a 7 star from rank 1 to rank 3 yields the exact same amount of points that ranking up a 6 star from rank 1 to rank 3 yields. And since it's a lot more costly to rank up 7 stars than 6 stars, and use DIFFERENT RESOURCES like I've been saying, it's helpful to rank up some of those only-6-stars, if it can help you get to the next rank, if that rank is a large attack or health boost, or a Class-specific added benefit or bonus damage.

New titan day is much more helpful for collecvtives than upgrading puny 6*s. Not even kidding. New 7* massive points boosts. Just FYI.

For the majority of the players, by the end of the year collectives progress is going to get stagnant at 19. Congrats if you are at 20. Anyone above 20 is probably a whale.

You dont have to do anything other 89 days.

Just play the game and rank up and sig up useful 7*s like you would do any other day.

The 90 point objective is gone. The urgency to rankup 6*s towards that event is gone with it.
