Sharing a project I've been working on

Hello!

Back in 2023 - 2024 I had grown tired of always trying to do everything there is to do in the game without feeling like I'm falling behind. As most people do at that stage, I made an alt account. However, the fun with new alts usually wear off after some time which I wanted to do something different.

So I made it into a challenge where I would try to progress the account as far as I could go without ever beating act 1. This meant that I would forever be stuck at the milestone of summoner (or [blank] as I like to call it since it doesn't even have an icon).

On and off for a few months I slowly grinded daily quests for iso, xp and rankup materials. The one and only mode available to me was incursions, which with the help of my main was essentially free rewards. As I completed the first couple of sectors, I got enough artifacts to open 4*s and gained access to higher sectors. Rinse and repeat, I started opening 5*s and eventually even 6*s.

Remember this stuff? Yeah they were tough roadblocks which took months to bypass.

At some point fairly early in my journey I pulled off the impossible:

As you can imagine, no alliance would take me seriously...

But I did eventually find one, and even had the opportunity to do a raid. I like to think that I put up a decent performance.

Months went by, and I managed to hit level 60 as well as open my first 7*.

Thanks to the sig stones and materials from incursions and raids, I even managed to take herc to r4 sig 200.

In the middle of it all, disaster struck. As I was months into this account, the game was updated to include a new feature that really sabotaged this challenge of mine. The game now included alternative ways to reach story milestones, which happens when you rank up a certain amount of x* champions.

Luckily I had not ranked up enough 5*s at that moment, which otherwise would've forced me to become conqueror. This is also when I regretted taking my 6* nova to r2...

Then saga incursions dropped which gave me a 7* photon and a 7r2-gem that I can't (spoiler: couldn't) use.

Not much happened after that, and in late 2024 I stopped playing the game completely until now. I continued keeping me updated on the game mostly because I was still attached to content creators like Lagacy, Rich, Nagase, Egg, Nick, MSD, Vega, KT1, Seatin and a bunch of others.

Lately I had the urge to return, but absolutely not to my main (all the new stuff is quite overwhelming) so I hopped on my alt. The removal of monthly incursions is a bummer, and I no longer have access to daily quests neither. The disappearance of the 22- and whatever- hour events suck too, as player(s) at my (lack of) progression don't have a super daily event.

All that aside, I was happy to see that saga incursions are still a thing. Because my main account is a bit aged at this point I wasn't sure I could carry the alt all the way. But thanks to the strategy I found by willrun4adonut, I managed to pull it off.

My account went from 2 7r1s to a multiple of them, with the potential of some rankups. That's all for me, hopefully some of you found this goofy account entertaining.

Btw, I'd love to hear your thoughts on who I should rank up.

Nice.

I believe if you stay BEHIND that Summoner progression that is done via 5* Rankups, you should be able to do whatever you want to your 6* and 7* Rankups (??)

(been a while since that conversation had taken place here, RE 6* vs 7* automatic progressions)

Have you done enough 6* or 7* for a later progression, if so, have you stayed at “Proven” because of holding off on doing 5* ??

I've been holding off since the update dropped, so I still have some possible rankups to do. I just now noticed that they've added an alternative way to become paragon, so right now I need to stay below 5 5r3s, 5 6r2s and 5 7r2s. At the moment I have 2 5*s beyond r3, 3 6*s beyond r2 and none 7*s at or beyond r2. This means that I can still rankup 2 5*s, 1 6* and 4 7*s.

Now that I know how I'm limited to ranking up 4 7*s, I might hold off on using my gems.

Love this guy. Didn't ask for a carry, and honestly has a much weaker roster than almost everyone who has asked for a carry on Discord. He's way more talented than me.

@DNA3000 , do you remember what the determination was on the Champ-based Summoner Progression.

Whether if you get the needed Rankups of higher star champs (for a higher progression, ie, 6* or 7* progressions), would that allow you to JUMP over an earlier progression that you have NOT YET MET the champ requirements yet (his 5* point, of not wanting to move to (or past) “Conqueror”) ??

Holding off doing ACT-4, and avoiding ranking up 5x of 5* r3.

Or would game force him over that if he does the 6* (for Uncollected) or 7* (for Paragon) Rankups that would meet those later progressions, despite not reaching Conqueror ?

I know for a fact that it u dont complete the pre requisite for previous progression, then u cannot get the next progression.

I tried to get valiant without getting paragon. But I couldnt.

So u can actually rank up the 7 stars to be able to progress even more.

Sorry I think I just realized what you're actually saying. If true, that would be insane. Too high of a risk for me to take without knowing for certain though, might see if I can get some type of insurance from the dev team lol

Short answer: I don't know. I'm not sure if that specific question was ever directly answered. In general you can't jump progression, but whether that specifically affects the scenario you're describing, I'm not certain. I will try to ask around.
