M.O.D.O.K.’S Lab Grand Re-Opening!

M.O.D.O.K. is re-opening his Laboratory for Summoners to test the limits of his new device, the Randomizers, once again!

Roll the dice and test yourself against a number of completely random Opponents with their own set of random Buffs! Beware, strategist M.O.D.O.K., satisfied with your previous performance in his Lab, has levelled up the Challenge for you! Remember to use M.O.D.O.K.’s remarkable Randomizer to spin the wheel again if you are not content with your set of Buffs.

If you need a refresher on how M.O.D.O.K.’s Lab Works, take a look at our forum post from the first time they ran, but read on to find out the differences!

The Lab will remain open for experiments between February 28th at 2 PM PST until March 26th at 3 AM PDT.

M.O.D.O.K.’s Lab will feature a few changes in this round:

Duration/Frequency
- 12 hours cycles instead of 8
- 1 entry limit per difficulty (exactly the same as before)

Auto Fight will be turned ON.

1 more General Pool Buff was added on the nodes of Medium Difficulty.

ALL the Champions will be randomized from every Class on every node instead of 1 Class per node.

Final fight in each quest is tuned to be a Boss fight.
- The Final Boss fight in Expert difficulty is a 6-Star Champion.

Were the Random Buffs victim to the twisted mind of MODOK, and adjusted as well?

Not really! A lot of the Buffs are what they were used to be. An exception to this is the new Final Boss Boosts:

Medium Final Boss HP and Attack Boost Pool
- Has Champion Boosts from 25%-50%

Hard Final Boss HP and Attack Boost Pool
- Has Champion Boosts from 75%-100%

Expert Final Boss HP and Attack Boost Pool
- Has Champion Boosts from 150%-200%

General Buff Pool

Consists of most Buffs available in the game, with some exceptions such as:

- Buffs that only work on one specific Character and Class specific Buffs (such as War Machine’s “Second Line” Buff or “Mystic Wrath”)
- Incredibly high HP or Attack Buffs (nothing above 200%)
- Degeneration (3.3% per second and 1.67% per second)

Buffs on a per-difficulty basis, on each fight:

Easy
- 1 General Pool Buff

Medium
- 1 Medium HP/Attack Pool Buff
- 2 General Pool Buffs

Hard
- 1 Hard HP/Attack Pool Buff
- 3 General Pool Buffs

Expert
- 1 Special 3 Activated (Permanent)
- 1 Expert HP/Attack Pool Buff
- 4 General Pool Buffs

Here’s where you can get more of M.O.D.O.K.’s precious Randomizers:

- 8x in a welcome message on February 28th, when M.O.D.O.K.’s Lab goes live.
- 8x per day in the Game Store for 2500 Gold each.
- 1x in each Final Boss fight of each difficulty of M.O.D.O.K.'s Lab (8x per 24 hours, maximum)

No energy cost but LIMITED ENTRY!

It still costs 0 energy per step to play M.O.D.O.K.’s Lab, however, you will only be able to enter each difficulty once every 12 hours.

IF YOU ENTER A QUEST AND QUIT OUT, YOU WILL LOSE ALL WITHHELD ITEMS AND YOUR ENTRY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. This means if you enter, decide you want to play something else, and quit, you’ll have to wait until your entries reset (every 12 hours) to enter again.

REWARDS - M.O.D.O.K’s GENEROSITY

Below is a list of what you can expect as a rewards for each completion of M.O.D.O.K.’s Lab. Keep in mind that since this is 1 path, completion will also equal exploration. Also keep in mind this is per instance, meaning the below rewards can be earned a maximum of 2 times a day for the duration of the event.

Summoners must update to the latest version of the game to be able to partake in MODOK's Lab.

I said the last Event, the Trials. It gave 300 Shards every 24 hours, and 700 on Day 7. This gives 400 every 24 hours, with no Energy used. The main point is it's cumulative. It adds up. Really not that much to complain about considering it's Shards daily.

To be clear, I’m not complaining. I think the rewards are good like this. I was just confused about you math, but I thought you where comparing it to last MODOK event and not the trials.

Check the announcement, normally new event quests launch at 10:00 AM PST. For the reopening of M.O.D.O.K.’s lab, they specify a launch at 2:00 PM PST. So give it another 3 hours and you should be able to access it.

Gosto muito do jogo, mas se torna intediante as vezes por ser tao dificil e cobra em tudo não pedindo pra facilitar, mas tudo leva a gastar dinheiro, nos jogadores queremos jogar e se divertir a intenção é essa e não me esqueço que devem lucrar com isso. Mas torne o jogo mais amplo e viciante aos jogadores. Que possam obter personagens que querem comprando, ate mudando uns expeciais e etc... e ao inves de forçar compra ou aproveitar ofertas que apenas vcs querem mais que tds vejam que é bom aproveitar.

Just got 200 5* shards, 360 T2 alpha frags and a 5* sig stone at a cost of no energy and no items used. Didn't even re-roll buffs despite getting degen and poison with no immune champ, thorns, etc. Don't run the quest if you don't want to but stop complaining lol.

Way harder, insane buff combos, I don’t think I had to use a single revive the last time modok infected the battlerealm. Used all 8 randomized and I’m dead on the second fight. Come on kabam! Random!? I got life transfer/degen paired with heal block twice, double thorns twice(every hit I landed would smash me for 1300 damage) and bunch of other BS buff combos. Not impressed.

I just tried the lab on expert and got destroyed, my team rating was 26k and I know it’s meant for people with high rated teams cause of all those annoying nodes they have but I don’t think fighting a damn Modok, ultron, spiderman, magik... is worth 200 5 star shards. How is this so hard yet the trials were so forgiving with boosts.

It's almost not even worth doing. 200 5* shards just going through a hellhole of champs on ridiculous nodes. Don't waste your units. Awful rewards for the amount of difficulty they set.

I agree that it isn't worth it if you can't do it without spending but I suggest you keep trying. Do the easy ones first for randomizers if you need to and at the very least it's good practice. I think the rewards are good if you can do it though.

Not this again. Sticking a randomizer to combine nodes we’ve already seen a million times before does not make for interesting content. This one needs to be retired permanently.
