For Kabam to do this is just a slap in the face to all it's customers. I'm appalled at the lack of customer service and care by Kabam toward it's own customer base. I cannot think of another business in the world that treats their customers this bad. This is going to get worse and worse if Kabam doesn't change. More people will quit, only thing Kabam can do to keep making money is charging more money for energy and potions for AQ. Prices will get higher and higher until the game shuts down. It's very sad because this is a great game but the greed of Kabam will kill it.

There are a lot of claimed free-to-play players that are leaving...why would they care? if the whales keep buying, that is what they will pursue.

If it's available in the game and people aren't taking advantage of the ways it is, and they're not spending in moderation or spending at a pace, it's not really reasonable to call it a shortage. Can't really say it's a problem if we're not willing to do something about it. We can't sit around and wait for Gold Realm.
