Silent Spider-Man symbiote buff

I was fighting a Spider-Man symbiote on trials of the mad titan when I noticed this

Spider-Man’s evade is no longer a buff why are kabam making this silent or changing this at all

I can't find one to duel.. But I normally fight him with Voodoo parry then hit him with sp1 turns it to poison.. If it's passive that won't work anymore

Either it is not the case with SG and only with symbiote spidy or the thing you staggered was other than spidy sense and more like precision or anything else. I again tested against symbiote spidy with my hood and it definitely does not stagger spidy sense which it earlier used to do. Here you go.

@Anurag1606 I haven't updated yet.. I'm still running on the old system the pictures are to prove that before the update YOU COULD stagger.. But after the update they have changed it to a passive buff..

I agree that they have changed it. Can I request you to record a fight with the hood against symbiote spidy? Since you are on old update. Let's make the mod answers about the changes they made. Thankyou.

I just tried it on the new build, both Symb Spidey and Spidergwen's evade are now passive. Can't nullify it

Thankyou so much @IOSJasoN this proves that spider sense on symbiote spidy could be staggered before update and is no more the case after the update. What is going on mods kabam? You don't do silent thing then what business is this?

This is sad. I used to be able to steal that evade buff with loki and watch him evade like crazy. Another stupid and unnecessary change by kabam.

Yes I use to use ghost rider to fate steal. Just seen this now in the Thanos trial. Can I reverse the update, kabam is messing around with the game....again.

Yes. Evade buffs for SSM, Spider Gwen and NC were always able to be nullified.

That’s from the physical and energy resistance, not the regen. If you did that against normal unbuffed sabretooth it wouldn’t work.

I am just wondering that after enough evidences that they made silent changes to few champs, there is no comment from game team? What happened to "we don't do silent changes" ? Looks like there is no answer. At least accept that you do such things and break the transparency banner.

Like I mentioned in the 18.1 thread, why does Nightcrawler retain a regular buff and Gwen and SSM get passive? This is just bizarre. Kabam is all over the place lately with this kinda thing.

Hey All,

I know there has been a lot of talk about "silent nerfs" and changes going around today. While some of them are bugs, or performance related, this one is an intentional change that did not make it into the patch notes.. We missed including this in the patch notes, and while we do make every effort to ensure that we tell you about every change before it goes live, this one did slip through the cracks. Nevertheless, we are sorry about not getting you this information before it went live.

When we made the change to True Strike to make it more effective against Auto-Block, we also updated the way evasion worked so True Strike would work against it. This change created a problem with anyone that tried to copy the Buff. The solution that we came up with was to make it a Passive Buff so that it could not be copied.

While this change may make a few Champions less effective against another small group of Champions in specific ways, on a larger level this change is a buff to underused Champions such as Spider-Man (Symbiote), Spider-Gwen, and Howard the Duck.

We apologize to everyone for the unintended omission of this change from the patch notes, and appreciate everyone that pointed this out to us! We have already discussed internal process changes that we will be making to better ensure that we don't have oversights like this again.
