It's important to remember a few things here. First, the first and foremost goal of these kinds of compensation are to make up for what you missed during the downtime. We want to make sure that all events affected had a resolution, and that any affected Summoner has the situation rectified for them. Compensation packages are not about "Free stuff". The only events that we can't measure how players were affected specifically were things like Event Quest, and Alliance Wars, which is why there are Energy Refills and 5-Star Shards in the package as well.
Secondly, I see a lot of people bringing up the last compensation package that went out. That one was a different situation where it was not possible for us to address every event that was affected because of the repeated downtimes during the month of March. That package was also for an entire month, and not a single night.
And Lastly, we're seeing some comments on other issues, such as problems with devices. This is completely unrelated, and something that we are still investigating.
That is fair enough. But Kabam has been extremely naughty and incompetent lately with all update issues,downtime more than once, aw issues, champion bugs(like domino block break- that is costing a lot in items btw, same as overheat issue when in aq aw), leaving 5* gem outside from cash deals and so on and so forth.
Therefore majority of player base assumed that the inadequate long time taken by Kabam to agree on compensation kinda implied that you will try to mend things with summoners and surprise us with something nice for once.
Obviously that is not the case, and it’s fair enough, but with how massive these threads about compensation are, and with the posts people left there if anyone of u had bothered to actually read them , and responded with this exact message before the announcement, you would have avoided this false hope people had.
I mean would it have been so hard to post this exact message on Monday stating that compensation will be exclusive for this and that and will have nothing to do with anything Kabam has **** up lately?

These cases you have brought up are all different issues, and are not related to this at all. If any of them require compensation for themselves, that will be separate, not included here.

so what’s gonna happen to people like me who were at the end of a legend run in lily quest? Just lose out on the items and no legend? No compensation for us? We just the lost cause for trying to be competitive ?
What will it physically cost you as a company to award the players who were in a legit run for legend and was put to a guaranteed fail for legend due to the downtime? NOTHING. Costs you absolutely nothing to award somebody something like a legend badge.
Did the other players use 30 percent non farmable boost for various in game stuff? Did they use units to add on suicides? Did they buy units for the legend run?

Compensation should give us the feeling that we are actually winning something out of this trouble, since you can't provide a 100% stable service, at least, give us more than you think we lost.

@Kabam Miike i was one of the people who was in the chat talking with you guys the night stuff went down. As i addressed then my main issue was the goldpool arena. I am in no way ok with the “solution” you guys came up with. I can not cancel work dates to grind arena for a champ that i could have grinded for that night the game was down. Please explan how this is a “fair” solution. I spent over 10,000 units to get that ticket. There was a set date to which i had a month to schedule work around. This is complete bs and not how you should be treating the player base. The night the game went down you said you cared about us and now this is how we get treated with the absolute minimum to make up for it. I know from being treated like this i will never spend a dime on this game again. Why should i if you guys show you could care less about us? Are you guys just trying to force players to quit so you can claim bankruptcy or something shady like that? Its really sad and pathetic how we get treated as players

Given the fact that the vast majority of these forums are currently acting out like a bunch of entitled little brats, believing that they are owed free stuff in a free game because their addiction was tested... Definitely.
Now if there was a monthly fee connected to the game, yes, I would want to be compensated as well, as a service I was paying for would be affected.
As it is however, I play a free game, so I have no place demanding anything. I can request something. And if the answer is no, that’s fine.

When considering what's FAIR to your player base, your shortsightedness has only achieved FAIR for Kabam only. I think after everything this year we've been through alone, to see what their answer was for this "package" it's safe to say they don't care. They just really don't care at all anymore. Any pretense they had any intention to follow through on what they promised the player base after 12.0 it's safe to say is officially dead. They took a look at all the grievances and decided: 3 energy refills with a value of 90 units total, a small amount of gold, and less 5 star shards than you could earn in this months already terrible rift event (which hasn't scaled in rewards since it started in 2016) was enough to justify all of it. Oh and all of those people who spent thousands of units to get a Goldpool arena ticket and were duped into thinking the milestones would be different or worth it? Sorry guys, you gotta run that whole thing again. Cuz of the fun of it!

I would challenge a moderator to ask literally anyone else if they think this is fair for even the problems the game had in the last 2 weeks, let alone for all the issues before it building up over months and months. It is obvious you were waiting for data from your 4th of July sales to gauge the current temperament of the community. Like @TheKiryu mentioned above, a lot of players had too much faith that for once you would take some ownership of all/some your screw ups and do a solid for us summoners. Your sales were better than expected so it was decided that a few scraps would keep everyone content. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. At a time when moral within the contest is quite low, Kabam could have handed out some decent compensation as an act of goodwill to help turn the tides in their favor. But no.
Aside from the server outage there are so many **** decisions made. Almost every time you release new content/champs there are significant issues with it. You fix "bugs" that were never confirmed to be bugs after more than a year (and no, saying "while this could be perceived as a bug but we aren't sure" doesn't count. I'm not begging for rank down tickets by any means but an announcement of these changes ahead of time would be nice. At least you don't completely ruin your credibility by trying to sweep things under the rug and act like nothing happened.
Then when other players ask about other champs who interact in a similar way to, say Astral evade (x-23 and elektra) there again are no definitive answers to any of it. Makes it easy for you to make changes as you see fit and call them "bugs" to avoid backlash but makes it tough for us to have any confidence in how our champs will act a few months from now. Adding sentinels to AQ and extra mini bosses to AW with no additional compensation.
I could go on but this will likely fall on deaf ears anyway.

Kabam assume us did what we doing normally after that crazy long maintenance. But did Kabam know many of us have to shorten sleeping time for continuous the AQ and arena? Did Kabam know that we still spend a lot of time trying long in and failed, trying to catch up those milestones and AQ target?!

That's basically to say that if you started the game (like, a brand new player) after the downtime, you won't receive those items. So you should be fine!
