ok im extremely aggravated by this champions signature ability. for one reason. i ranked iceman to deal with evasion champions. kabam has again started more 12.0 type stuff and this falls right into this category stop it already. when choosing to rank up champions that deal with a certain ability only for the developer to make a new champion that counters the ability of the champion you ranked to counter said ability, it really feels like your making a concerted effort as a developer to insult us. it is unethical at the very least to release a champion that you claim deals with evasion champions only to 1 year later release a champion that counters the champion that counters the evasions by evading. this type of bs needs to stop. the response "the game can change at anytime" is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for your customer and player base. theres over 100 playable champions we dont need 2 more every month anyways....

Let’s take Mephisto. When awakened, he has a chance to activate his aura of incineration when hit, with higher chances on perfect blocks. He also has ability accuracy reduction immunity, so everyone will have to deal with it activating.

And...oh wait, what’s this? It appears that you have Blade, and something called danger sense? That ignores ability accuracy immunities? My, that kind of sounds familiar...

its about wasp not mephisto and blade. you clearly missed that cause your still going on about blade and mephisto. have you noticed shes not in event quest? why is that? youll soon find out thats my point iceman is just an example that champion that should counter her and doesnt and watch killmonger and karnak wont work well either when fighting her as a stacked aw opponent.

Have you tried fighting her yet? Do you know how the interactions with Killmonger and Karnak work? Do you have any proof besides speculation because you're annoyed that Iceman doesn't work?

Sure she isn't there in the EQ (she's in the micro-realms) and maybe it is because she's an annoying champ to fight, but it seemed to me in your main post that one of your biggest annoyances was a champ being released as a counter, and then another champ being released to counter the counter, and you claimed that it was unethical, complete bs and shows a complete lack of respect for the players. If you believe that wholeheartedly, you should start complaining about blade.

I will say there is certainly a trend recently to put out defenders that have very limited counters coupled with the borderline ridiculousness of the new nodes in AW. Guys are already pretty down on the game recently I’m not sure if this trend is healthy for the game in the big scheme of things.

I think the OP is experiencing the same "rendered useless" with Iceman what everyone else did with their Mystic champs in AW when Blade was released...

Honestly just looks like he's pissy he won't be able to run his Blade/GR/Iceman team in AW anymore.

Well kabam does need to stop introducing such an overpowered champ, and then try to balance it by introducing another overpowered champ.
The piwer inflation has gone too far up to the point where more than 80% of currently existing champs are not used, or ‘outdated’
They are releasing new champs every month or two, but the outdated champs are hardly getting reworked at all...

The thing is, every champ that's come out something has happened like this
IMIW, everyone said that Medusa could counter him but armour shatter was useless (it's not direct but it caused enough of an outrageous, and still does). Nowadays, most people are able to solo him, and I think you would be able to
Domino as well, she came out and everyone was so annoyed at her signature ability and the way she affected dexterity, now she's barely an issue to most people, probably you included

I mean, everyone touted those two as a counter to blade as the ultimate AW attacker, and still people use Blade to take them down

Everytime that a new champ comes out with a certain ability that is new, the community cries out that it's bs and that no one will be able to beat it, but yet we find a way to work around it, in this case the people who ranked Killmonger to take down Medusa bosses will have another use for him

I think most the new champs are good. The only one i don’t know about is massacre but I see a use for him.

I think we are forgetting the reskins, the iron family, etc. it ain’t easy coming up with good champs but if you look at the last 6 they are all good to have outside of massacre who I cannot evaluate. When proxima and Corvus came out they were panned. I sorely regret not doing second arena for proxima.

Not sure what you mean by a counter to a counter. Most Champs act as a counter to something. That's just how the game works. Some Champs can counter certain things, some Champs can counter them. It's not a Food Chain that narrows into a Top Champ. It's more of a Food Web.

Basically Iceman counters evade champs with coldsnap, Wasp has an ability to remove debuffs other than bleed so it allows her to remove coldsnap and still evade, so she counters that counter

Mephisto/Mordo counter ability accuracy reduction champs like BW, or Crossbones, but Blade ignores their ability accuracy immunity, so he counters the counter

What's being totally missed in this entire conversation is this, 12.0 was done by Kabam for one reason according to them, to reinstate "balance" in the game. Mainly cutting the legs out from under SW, DS, BW, and Thor. And also nerfing countless synergies and abilities. Because, according to Kabam, those Champs made the game unfair and in order for them to push forward with new content it had to be done. Flash forward to where we are now. It couldn't be more obvious exactly what 12.0 was all about. To force people to spend and push for new Champs who would now rule the contest. See, if you had any of the above mentioned Champs of old there was no need to spend on new ones. This is why almost every AW team is Blade, Stark, GR. Why defenses are stacked with IMIW/ Domino/etc. A new champ comes out every other month to counter an ability they pushed as the new Shiney thing the month before . It's a vicious circle that will never end. All they did was replace those old OP Champs with new ones you have to pay to get now. Yet here you all are arguing and or bragging about who you have today, when tomorrow they will be arena fodder, nerfed, or countered by the newest champ you'll have to pay to get.

Yes champs today will be countered and champs a month from now will be countered again. But thats how you keep a game and a business going. Kabam needs to make money and if every new champion sucked we'd all complain about new champs being no good. But when new champs are good we all complain they are OP.
Any game like this should have a constant change of top champs and fresh abilities to keep the game from going stale. Of course i feel that with the given amount of champs in the game there is no reason Kabam couldnt adjust their release of champs to 1 new champ and 1 reworked champ each month to keep the older champions relevant.

so what i mean by a counter to a counter in this specific case is iceman was before wasp a complete counter to any evasion champion (if awakened and you have moderate skill). wasp is a counter to icemans counter. she removes his coldsnap then punishes him with the old auot evade bus from tje spidermen. hence a counter to a counter. she counters icemans countering ability. i cant wait to see a champion that is a counter to wasps abilities making it a counter of a counter to a counter of a counter lmfao!!!!. good points youve made also btw

So... let's just remember that Wasp cannot evade for a period of time after every heavy and special. I don't think she'll be that hard to counter, especially if you add true strike / AA reducers on top of this.
