How good is Goldpool honestly?

Goldpool is a decent 5 Star. With double Regen when duped, stun, taunt and prowess, it is a very useful utility champion.
But is it really worth the 20 million points that people have been grinding to get him? I mean, IMO, there are so many characters that would wipe the floor with him. SW, Blade, Sparky, GR, GP, Magik, AA, Iceman, DV just to name a few (there are many others). Why are people trying so hard trying to get him, harder than almost any character before?

    Not sure if I'm considered lucky as I got him after grinding and spending 2k units on those gold crystals. But i do enjoy using him for fun as it just doesn't feel the same as using DPX.

    The main reason why people try to get him is because he has a ridiculously high prestige as a 5* champion. The only champion with a higher prestige than him is Thor Ragnarok, Namor and Phoenix

    It’s the rarity that people like I guess.
    I just pulled him from a crystal, dunno what the odds are but my level 45 is damn pleased with a 6*

    Nope.. I have 5* Goldpool (use mutant awaken on him and sig105), PlatinumPool (undupe, I could awaken him but feel its notvworth it).. rather use resources on other champions..

    5* Deadpool xforce (undupe until he gets buffed).

    Good for a synergy if u use suicides
    Doesn't really have any other significant use other than being a Trophy
    The only use scenarios are probably some special arenas where the Pools give more points, or some nodes where Kabam boost the Pools like in the latest Variant

    NGL I ranked up platinumpool to r3....simply because he speed runs auto fights lol saves tons of time on **** daily quests and eq etc etc
