New forums, new Character Wishlist thread

Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

Professor X should be added but made unplayably weak but with God Like synergies

+100% ability accuracy with wolverine or phoenix(harnessing powers)
+10% damage with cyclops, storm or beast
+10% damage with magneto

When duped he activates all synergies for all mutants on his team. At level 20 add cosmic, 40 mystic, 60 science, 80 skill and 99 tech

I see, someone wants a champ whose more beefed up than blade.ha......goodluck with that.

Well the most beefed up champ might as well be a god maybe tune him doing a bit but this is just a basic rough draft and he is already toned down from my original idea

well, he's still pretty beefed up, tune him down a bit.....cos, after all, as much as you want him, you won't want to fight him.(consider that).

Actually I think a power control champion would counter him quite well but u guess I could make some tweaks tho just would like for him to be better than the other 2 thors

Maybe remove the stun immunity and power gain only 1 bar of power also remove the debuff reflect and give a 5% chance to activate Gods Wrath when a debuff is applied to him maybe that would make him a bit easier I was actually aiming for a attacker more than a defender

So your saying the most powerful mutant in the world should be weaker than sentry? I disagree. He can have a flying wheelchair and 2 big arms too attack, like modok

does anyone else feel that red skull is a new god tier champ.

A character I would like to suggest would be graviton

His first special should be something along the lines of the manipulating his foe by using the “pull force” and pummeling them into the ground... causing fury on him and concussion or stun on the enemy

His second special being him pulling a massive boulder out of the ground and pushing it towards his foes, thus causing stun

And his third special being him absorbing his foes into gravitonium... which results in him using power drain against his opponents and gaining that power... it also absorbs some of their hp and causes his foe to degenerate

His synergies would be with quake, GR, and the avengers

And his signature ability should be that he gets the indestructible buff for a certain time after being hit after using his third bar special based on his sig level. On top of that, he gets 3 fury buffs, true strike and health steal.

His passive ability should be gravitonium of immortality... it functions the same glaive of immortality but under a different name

Carter slade the original ghost rider

His base damage would be low and high health.

Light attack after has a 30% chance to inflict incineration for 2 second

Medium attack he shoulder barges

Heavy attack he hits opponent with shovel causing concussion and gaining a soul

Sp1 would be a shotgun blast the causes incineration and bleed and gaining him a soul)(one soul per battle)

Sp2 would be a unblock able lasso that he would throw around the other champ pull the champion forward and then punching him in the head causing stun then concussion and gaining him a soul (one soil per battle

Sp3 would be him riding his horse knocking down the opponent and gaining there soul (shown by a purple mist similar to the effect around gambit cards) for each soul he had before the sp he gains 20% of his base attack + an additional 20% for doing the sp3 he then turns into his ghost rider form. After done sp3 first time each time after he gains the same +20% attack and 10 seconds regen regaining 20% health
