Guillotine vs Adaptoid

Can anyone tell me why Guillotine does not gather souls as quickly and yet loses them so much faster vs adaptoid? On all my other fights I am consistently at 8-12 souls and yet when I really need to keep at least three vs adaptoid guillotine is losing souls instead of gaining them. It doesn’t look like as though adaptoid has anything that would cause this to happen. Can anyone help me out here?

Prolly because adaptoid spcl power drains and power burns, power burns will do energy damage equivalent to the amount of power drained

She's not doing enough damage, to gain soul charges, I think it's like 1soul charge /per 6-10% max health u steal from enemy

Whale, I'm sure power burns isn't considered as a spcl move, I'm sure if it was majik and she entered limbo, the damage from limbo wood kill her if she was low enough on health

Because the specials count as 3 hits. Her Sig is so she can't be ko by a single hit. Aimed more twords special 3. Ice armor doesn't work against adaptoid either.

Guillotine collects a soul for every 6% of max health damage dealt. Adaptoid has massive health so she does collect them very quickly. So the expire at the same rate but she does collect replacements as fast.

If you want her souls to last longer so you can build them up better, pair her with morningstar. Increases their duration by I believe 10 seconds

yeah i wondered the same thing so i read her actual ability for the first time. couldnt find out why i couldnt reverse his healing, turns out i took too long to get to sp2 and they expired every 10 seconds

@NoTaxTea is right. Vision can kill GP with Specials for the same reason - he doesn't do any actual damage (aside from his SP3); but his Power Burn happening a fraction of a second later is completely unaffected by her Sig immunity. It ignores Safeguard, too.

On the negative side, Visions specials are therefore also unaffected by Flare nodes and the like.
