For those that a fed up and intend to leave the game; I offer this suggestion.
Write a review in the App Store for this game. You may not be able to effect change with your leaving; but if your review gets a new person to pass by this game, then you know your voice/opinion was at least heard.
I understand there may be confusion here and want to clarify and confirm again for everyone. Lyra’s statement earlier in the thread is correct and the Summoner Appreciation Gift that is included in the Summoner Appreciation week is the compensation for issues in 19.0 previously discussed on the forums. I hope this is clear for you all now. As always, we welcome and thank you for your constructive feedback both about the gift and the event.
1. Game still heating phones. On top, game seems to be demanding more data in the last week, despite im still trying to figure that out.
2. Compensation should equal = refund of what potentially wasn't earned, so it should be bracketed for prestige or rating (like RDTs were at time).
3.1000 5* shards is what i lost in a 3 days arena. We're talking of 1 month problems, part of which aren't even fixed as we speak
4. Being appreciation, getting slightly better rewards will cost ingame resources (energy), so you're literally spitting over people's faces here.
5. I'd even be good with having to use energy, if it wasn't for the fact that the maxiumum compensation doesnt even cover for 3 out of 20+ days of server crashes, overheating and unplayability.
6. You may have started to feed players with development plans, but at today you are literally all strangers to your own game. You keep messing up and patching up with spit and tape. That ain't EVER gonna heal the wound you keep sliding the knife in since 12.0
Finally, despite this won't even be read or taken for what it is (criticism), i do realize you don't have the means of the professionality to get out from the hole you digged. There is no chanche for Kabam to find a balance between Netmarble's greed and player's needs.
What's left then? Retiring from the game, and watch it sink "slowly" i guess. Stopping playing is alwais been kinda unconceivable for me, after so long in the top tiers of the game, but right now, not having to bother with your weekly BS and watching it from outside cutting you my share of income looks better than playing the game, and that's not something caused by my will to play ending, rather from you making this game a gambling addiction rather than a real game.
So cheers, just wait end of season and take a look to statistics on top tier players, you gonna realize how much they feel appreciated once another retirement wave hits you. i'll be chilling with a martini and some laughs.
No. Mods are not to blame for this. They are just the messenger. The blame should be laid square on the shoulders of the developers and the upper management of Kabam.
The same individuals that should be communicating with us the play base; or in this case, dissatisfied customers.
Say what you want here but it means nothing when they still have a 4.6 out of 5 on apple store. If y’all are really angry than take this forum and put it on the app review page on iOS (the most likely spenders) and lower the rating and speak the truth. This is all virtually pointless.

Wow talk about a slap in the face. Leaving a 1 star review and writing a warning for anyone thinking of downloading this game run by such a ungrateful company. I stopped spending awhile ago and will continue to do so. After playing a few other games I noticed how much cheaper they are to spend on and a better treatment of its player base. This was a good game ruined by a terrible company. Boycotting this game will be the only way we see changes to save it.
Tbh, it would probably have been hard to come up with any compensation that would have been 'satisfying' after these last two months. But this just dissapoints me. I am a newer player since december 2017, so I am not even comparing this to last years appreciation month. I am just disappointed that they call this compensation for the problems of late, while most of this won't even benefit me.
The week they hold the appreciation week I am on vacation. I'll barely be able to play the game, and miss out on most of the 'compensating'. I am currently running act 4, so it would have been a great thing that it costs less energy and I gain more xp, IF I was able to play that week. I would have love to earn more gold in Arena or with the events, IF I could participate that week. But I won't be just because of the timing.
How is this compensating for all the lag, the overheating, the unscheduled maintenance, the bugs, etc. that I have endured last two months, by holding a one week appreciation week on a week I am not even able to play?
Mods on here claimed they were discussing this, so you would think that some thought went into this. How is the result of your discussions something that is limited to one week, held in vacation/summer period. This is so easy to be missed.
How does this even have any use if barely anyone feels appreciated or adequately compensated? Even from a business standpoint it makes no sense to me. Either you go big and blow everyones mind with your compensation, making the majority of the player base happy again, or just don't do anything at all.
This just feels like they aren't capable to empathize with the players at all.
It's pretty cool how this "compensation" is less than what I lost on one round of arenas during the month of my phone overheating. Keep up the good work Kabam!!!

At this point I don’t even want compensation. Just fix the (still present overheating) issue so i can play and get my own rewards. I think I would appreciate that more.

Phones were burning up and failing or risking failing because of the garbage patch kabam pushed.
Quality developers revert to non-damaging code. Kabam did not.
So what is the compensation? Increased % for things I have to play to acquire and gift bundles I have to play to use.
Now, the issues with phones burning happened as a result of playing. IMHO compensation should be something that doesn’t require DOING THE THE THING THAT MELTED YOUR PHONE in the first place. It should be an instantaneous reward, not an opportunity to cash in through effort.
Basically, Kabam can’t promise their next update won’t overheat or lag or go down 10 times a week from server problems. So don’t give us “compensation” that is still subject to the failures of the game ruining our ability to use them.
How pissed are you going to be when you use that compensation alliance revive and you start experiencing serious lag or the game goes down for extended maintanance? Seems like a waste and NOW they not only owe you compensation for that first revive they made you waste, but now they owe you a second for the additional inconvenice.
Compensation should only be shards and units and loyalty and glory first and foremost. How those get spent isn’t affected by how poorly the game performs and it gives the PLAYER agency to decide how best to get what it is they feel kabam owes them.
Kabam melting phones hasn’t earned them the trust to make spending decisions for us because you can be damn sure there will be another bug to pull the rug out from under you again.

Ok, personally I would be alright with (I’m not going to work everything out)
-3 AQ final rewards and map 5 crystals for 3 series for the time I couldn’t participate in AQ
-4 tier 2 or 3 War rewards (1/2 victory and 1/2 loss as an average)
-6 arena rewards (milestones for 1m in 4* basic and 2m in 4* featured and rank rewards for the 25-45% in 4* basic, 11-30% in 4* featured, since that is at the very least what I do every arena)
-compensation for energy refills I had to use, let’s say 10 (even though it was more)
-5(ish) revives for war and aq for losses and shut downs I had
And since at the start of the overheating I was in a gold 1 alliance, but I chose to step down part way through after I literally couldn’t play the game, my issues have only just finished so I wasn’t able to join again in time for seasons, so I think some compensation for war seasons (while not absolutely necessary) would be very appreciated. I’d take half rewards, since I wasn’t in those wars.
But again, with war seasons, I understand why I don’t absolutely deserve that as compensation, and I’m not demanding it to be so. It would just be a gesture of goodwill.

From a legal perspective, they can't admit the game was causing overheating, or else they would be liable.
From a compensation perspective, they can't give too good of rewards because it would be an admission of guilt towards the overheating issue.
From a PR perspective, just re-do the past summoner's appreciation event and have it last an entire month. That way at least the community isn't blowing up and turning toxic and you don't have a coup on your hands. smh
FAIR compensation would be the milestone rewards from any arena the Summoner competed in during 19.0 and 100% rewards from any Event Quest attempted during 19.0... AQ and AW was a bit of a mess... So throw in some Alliance Revives and Potions.... Is that unreasonable ?? Give me ur honest opinions 🙂
