Not really, I know a lot of people including myself would spend more if we really felt appreciated. I stopped my spending because of what has been going on
This is a really good point (and the same point was made but a couple other people)... People who ask, how much is enough, are missing half the point. It's not just about how much, it's about how.
It feels really rubbish right now because all the "compensation" is geared towards getting players to sink more hours into the game (clearly Kabam is not hitting its player hour KPIs due to the overheating).
What would work better (obviously) is having compensation geared towards making up for uncompleted content. So, for example, when AQ gets interrupted for a long time, we get half hour timers and rewards for the highest AQ map we played in that cycle.
This shouldn't be any different. We should get compensated for the highest arena milestones/rank rewards we hit in the month before the overheating issue, for example. Rewards for the highest event quest difficulty we completed the month before the overheating. And so forth.
The 2 biggest mistakes we're the moderator comments. Mainly them saying Gwenima wasn't compensation but then saying it was and going from "S.A.W." being what was 'discussed" as compensation to it actually being compensation.
The second was removing 5* Awakening Gem from the conversation. What do you get a kid who just broke his arm to forget about his broken arm? A new toy! You want the community to forget the "broken arm" then the best way is to give them a new toy to focus on and that's what that 5* gem would do. It would guarantee that the summoner has their choice of toy too instead of possibly getting 3 5* champs that they never wanted or already have but adds nothing to their "game life".
This of course is my opinion.
I’m a casual F2P player but I still keep track of all that’s going on in the forums and I care about this game a lot. I am very horrified at the lack of thought and care of kabam towards its players too and I wish for them to have a serious reconsider about the compensation package for all the shenanigans recently
It's 4:45am Pacific time though, so I wouldn't expect too much too soon. Or anything really. 'Lower your expectations and you'll never be disappointed' and all that.
I’ll add to the rest of the people here and say while I hope for a response from the mods on all of this, I would keep my expectations basement level for anything constructive or productive to come from it. It seems to me the players will need to make a decision and take this into their own hands - whether that means to continue and keep the topic and these issues fresh in our minds and on the forums/Reddit/YouTube, to leave low reviews in the App Stores, write them and derail their social media postings, and stop spending. If we are all bark and no bite then they will continue to get away with doing this and it will become the norm. Another poster before me was absolutely correct in that I believe they were testing the waters to see if they could get away with the minimum effort and rewards and compensation, see what the reaction was, and use it going forward as a benchmark.
If this community is willing to overlook weeks of blunders and having our devices at risk to help this company get it together, and still don’t want to do anything about it after - then anything going forward this company does will have precedence and they can look back and use all of this as an example of what they don’t have to do for things to be copacetic. I really hope that isn’t the case.
I, for one, have my doubts. Most people are just one delicious offer away from caving and forgetting, and from recent AW stories, I think we can see how deeply Kabam has its hooks in many of the top-ranked (and presumably higher-spending) players. Expecting more than nominal support from those gamer demographics is probably a bit naive.
I’m convinced now that there are understandable reasons our “appreciation” was done this way. It disappoints me, but over 3.5 years that’s been a recurring theme with many of the decisions this game has made. Not all of them—that would be inaccurate and uncharitable, because you don’t play a game that long because it’s terrible and you hate it.
I suppose it’s ironic that one of the upcoming MCoC champs is a failed “revolutionary.” Whether this particular MCoC uprising fails for “printing too few pamphlets” remains to be seen. Like I said, I have my doubts, but I still say viva la revolucion...

@Kabam Miike told us that the compensation/appreciation would attempt to make up for what we missed out on during the overheating fiasco and the game outages. Well the community has spoken and the overwhelming majority of us concur on the fact that this compensation does not do what you guys wanted it to do. We all realize and have accepted that Kabam's compensation is not about free stuff but currently it is way too far on the other side of the spectrum and can hardly be considered sufficient compared to the amount of content that was missed out on because of issues outside of our control.
Please do not make the mistake of taking lightly the concerns of your loyal player base. We have stuck with you guys for years through everything good and bad. Now it's Kabam's turn to acknowledge our loyalty and to act. It is extremely important that this compensation is done right, because there just might be consequences if it is done wrong. Please do the right thing here and take our concerns to the team.
I think they meant it's their turn to stick it TO us...
I updated it to be more clear.
THEY. DON'T. CARE.
we are all just pissin in the wind.
I'm cool with that. That's reasonable feedback. When people resort to making a target out of me and just venting that the company doesn't care, it's not really helping the cause.
