This is a really great change!!! Unfortunately because of the glitch I wasn’t able to access the beta. But I did like all the videos I saw with the proposed changes. I am happy you’re implementing these! This will be a great quality d life improvement when playing multiplayer modes!

Q: will the new mystic dispersion update interact with passive buffs like spider man symbiote’s evade? If so will it just treat the evade like any other buff or is there any difference?

I think lots of players will be pissed because Kabam is changing the gameplan again in favor of the big hitters/high rated alliances.

Sorry to see you guys aren't staying true to past statements about what situations warrant rank down tickets or in-game resources being refunded. Everyone who has fought a tier 1-3 4/55+ Dormammu main AW boss knows Dormammu's signature ability in it's current form made him the best AW boss in the game. Magik, Blade, and Gladatior Hulk could solo tier 1-3 Dormammu main AW bosses. The approved MD/dexterity nerf will allow champions like Spider-Man Stark Enhanced to do the same. Mystic dispersion/dexterity's interaction is a fundamental mechanic that affects all mystic champions. I hope Kabam changes their mind and decides to stay true to their word.

How about Dormamu’s Awaken ability will trigger if :
StarLord trigers a new fury buff before the prior one expired, and like Angela on her every critical hit she get new armor, fury, buff.

How will the refund work?

Let's say I bought 100 Mystic cores, 50 with Units & 50 with Loyalty. Will I get the unit equivalent of 50 cores (1.5k units) and the loyalty equivalent of 50 cores (400k)? Or can I get a refund all in one currency (3k units or 800k loyalty)

Follow up Q:

Will spider man Stark (spark)’s evade (during specials & random) interact with MD. Presuming the player does not activate or use the dexterity mastery in any way.

I used a 5* generic awakening gem and 5* signature stones on Dormammu 15 days before the MD/Dexterity beta testing was announced. Had I known the approved MD/Dexterity nerf was being considered, I would not have chosen to use these rare in-game resources on Dormammu:

I am sorry you used a generic but personally I don’t feel this change warrants any return of gems. It’s not as though Dorm will be an easy defender now, he will still trigger degen, Just not on multiple dash backs.

Not only that but MD is not a fundamental Champion mechanic as its a choice and not a requirement.

Yes. It is not possible for us to only refund Summoners on a case by case basis, so we're going all out and refunding everybody that's purchased Mystic Mastery Cores. All Summoners that have MD will have to buy the cores again and reapply their Mastery Points if they would like to repurchase it.

Will Loki’s L1and Curse abilities be affected? He isn’t nullifying the buffs, he’s stealing them. So he won’t be gaining power from stolen buffs?

No, as MD still works and Magik is a viable champ. MD can still be applied but it just acts differently. Also MD was always a choice and not a requirement.

I like these changes to MD But while we're changing masteries wouldn't it be cool to also look at the other class masteries? I only use MD because it's the best one and makes an already great class even better but I can't say the same for the others. If each class had one as good as mystic dispersion I could invest based on my favorite champs or classes.

I love the skill and mutant classes, theyre diverse, offer a lot of utility and hit hard. Plus they have all my favorite marvel characters. Adjusting Pure Skill (PS) to increase ability accuracy even by like 10% at Max rank as well as critical armor penetration would be awesome for so many characters.

Changing mutagenesis to reduce the duration/effect of more debuffs than bleed would be awesome even if it only increased by a small amount like 5% for every subsequent debuff up to a maximum of whatever. I'd say even throw in a .1% base health passive Regen since an accelerated healing factor is probably the most common mutant trait.

Increased buff duration and effect for cosmic champs. Maybe collar tech turns into some kind of back up battery that in addition to limiting opponent power gives all tech champs a small chance on losing or spending a bar of power to gain some power back. Maybe in addition to energy resistance science champs also get a boost to all base stats since they're supposed to generally feel tankier or they gain physical/energy resistance based on the number of debuffs on them or the opponent.

I think if every class had a mastery as useful as MD AW would become pretty diverse. People could show love for they're favorite classes.

Most importantly I think it champs who have these masteries should show it in the fight. A little mystic class icon under their health bar would help to inform attackers what they're about to get into rather than having to use dexterity and watch to see if the power bar goes up.

What’s the point in doing this now? You have already taken multiple steps to make mystic defenders ineffective. Including revealing where there are on the map, capping countable kills to 3, and releasing blade, hulk ragnarok, void, not to mention updating Red Hulk and Luke Cage as viable counters specifically aimed at targeting mystic champions. When will it be enough? The game was fine. Stop changing things for the sake of addressing dead issues.
You talk about how you want war to be a challenge and alliances shouldn’t be 100% going through the maps then reverse course and eliminate all of the challenging aspects of war. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS! There is no legitimate reason why a group of 10 people can’t strategize how to fight around mystic dispersion at this point especially when you have given them multiple tools to do so.
But if you want things to be easy, domino is getting on my nerves and so is auto block and evade. Fix it.

That will still trigger Mystic Dispersion, as the Buffs are still expiring. There will be no change to that.

Why are you guys proceeding different this time around then you had with Willpower. It seems like a monumental waste of effort and time on your teams part to comb through that data to ensure who gets what. With Willpower you just gave out a blanket refund let everyone keep what they had and moved on. Just curious why you guys are decide to dedicate developers time to this, instead of them focusing on real in game issues.

You can't deny that a lot of people specifically ranked mystic champions because of how Mystic Dispersion interacted with Dexterity. A lot of R4 Juggernauts/Dorumamu/Magik's that will be significantly weaker on AWD with the new changes.

To be honest, I think it's BS to NOT have a rank down discussion here for MYSTICS ONLY. You have the ability to issue mystic specific RDTs, I'm sure. It's what's RIGHT to do in this situation. Many, many, many players have ranked up 4 and 5 star champs based on something that YOU ARE CHANGING now.

RIP Mystics. Go join our fallen brethren from the 12.0 debacle.

4/55+ Juggernaut gave lots of skilled AW players trouble on node 55 in tier 1-5 AW. He won't anymore.

I like the changes and think they are fair -- Mystic Dispersion was always a ridiculously OP Mastery and needed to be tuned. Having it interact with Dexterity the way it did...no. That was always ridiculous and I am glad it was addressed -- and I even had a few points in MD, so yeah, I have some skin in the game

I purchased many of my mastery cores using units through gifting last Christmas. Why are gifted cores being refunded loyalty only? Why wouldn't they also be refunded based on how they were purchased. Please change this as the gifting events are part of the game and we should still be able to be compensated the way we paid. You cannot even gift the cores using loyalty. its like we are being punished for participation in your event. Again please change the gifted cores to a unit compensation. @Kabam Miike

MD was the only thing saving the value of Mystic defenders. I actually like the change but my R4 Dorm is going to be useless on defense now. I’d have never taken him up.

I appreciate the change and my refund on units. What I really want back are my four T2As though.

And anybody saying these changes aren’t significant to warrant at least one class specific RDT are being disingenuous or they’re just uninformed. This is a huge nerf to that mastery and the class that depended on it for maximum value.
