Synergies not working

So, you all probably going to think I'm stupid, but I just found out our team's synergies don't work in war defence!!!

It's your team, you select your 5 champions as in any other game mode, synergies pop up, they affect your champs' stats, you place them to your defence and all that is gone without ANY PRIOR WARNING ON THE EDITING PAGE! Don't you all think it's really stupid and SOOO TRANSPARENT OF KABAM for a change??? Maybe I missed the memo few years back about - "never mind the synergies when you're editing your war defence - they won't work."

What's gonna be next? Bleeding that's not bleeding? Oh wait! It actually has been introduced already! One would think you cut / stab someone with blood and they'll bleed, right? Too simple? Yes, that would make too much sense. Long time ago, with the release of Cable, when you cut / stab him he bleeds and that has 100% chance to trigger heavy attack degen. Well, obviously someone complained and so from certain point in the past Kabam decided they were going to not trigger the heavy attack degen on opponents when Cable bleeds from Double Edge mastery! Hey - bleed is not always bleed, sometimes it's just bleed - can't you see the difference summoners???

Well I complain now - diversity was introduced, synergies show up on team editing screen of war defenders - synergies belong to war defence - UNLESS YOU REMOVE THEM FROM THE PAGE - that's false advertising and it's hugely misleading!!!! Is it too difficult to program them? Step up the game Kabam - isn't that what you're being paid for? To develop this game? It's you who has been promoting the stupid diversity and yet there is no benefit to me to select diverse champs to my advantage that works everywhere else within the game but the war defence. When are we going to start seeing things like Kabam being too lazy to program, so none of our champions will be able to act awakened with their signature abilities unlocked - we'll all have to play them there unawakened. Or when are we going to start seeing game modes where it's too complicated for Kabam to consider our Masteries??? LOL

It has been a stated fact for a very long time that synergies are not enabled in war defense.

I think you are going to find that you are just embarrassing yourself with this post. Also, you think some nodes are tough now? Wait till you have a R5/65 Medusa with the royal family synergy. Good luck with that.

I admitted I may have missed the memo so no, I'm not embarrassed and I appreciate the confirmation.

All I'm asking is for consistency. Bleed is a bleed, synergy is a synergy, team is a team. One thing is clear - not everyone is glued to the forums and game posts in there, new players and players like me find it surprising and misleading. The least that can be done is to actually at least program a one time pop up with each update of the game that just tells you that synergies don't work, when you get in to edit your team. I'm not asking for freaking rank down tickets here like everyone else seems to do so nowadays for every little thing....

So when you find something not working, you don't ask around to others? You clearly know of the forums as you have posted 73 times. You couldn't come here and perform a search for "AW synergies" and find the 471 results to get the answer? You have to make a post that really makes you look silly and calling Kabam out for something they have already commented about which is also posted right here in this thread? But hey, who am I to correct someone who seems to know all the answers.

I started this game in april of this year. I ranked up several champs for war defense based on their defensive synergies. I didnt know until last month that synergies arent active in war for defenders. I understand everyone saying they dont want synergies in war. I just think kabam should remove the synergy chart on the aw screen. That would solve the confusion all new members have. If u dont visit the forums often and just play the game how is a person to know that feature doesnt work? Its not like u can visually see your defenders fighting. You just rely on the info provided on the screen.

They disabled them a long time ago and you're just noticing that they don't work?

It's been that way for quite awhile now and they don't quite know how to bring them back and won't unless we know what kinda syerngy we're up against due to some of their affects.

They might not be back for awhile and there is a chance that they never come back

@Darkstar4387 how would a person know they arent working? Like i stated, i started playing in april. It wasnt until i signed up to join the forum that i learned they dont work. I understand why they are disabled, i just think it would be beneficial to remove the box from the defender screen so new members dont think they are working.

That's my point exactly lol totally misleading and confusing and that's exactly why I posted it today after every one else has seen it and posted about it elsewhere, except people like you and me who noticed it just recently and probably many others like the two of us - my point..

I don't know about you but I don't check around on my opponent's masteries and their teams before I hit a node in the war unless I'm just checking their profile to see who it might be on that node. I'll just check the node and hope for the best. I usually cope with whatever is there and sometimes I don't. increase of health, critical ratings and damage and similar masteries don't show any difference as you have no baseline for them. It's just doable until it isn't and you die lol

I've been playing this game since shortly after it was released and this change wasn't clearly communicated to me via the game. Perhaps on the forums but I don't spend much time on here - it's depressing.

Well you are obviously in an alliance. Hard to believe out of the 29 others, none of them wouldnt know either sinces fairly widely known.

Niether do I know it from these forums, they've been down since well before April of this year and they don't seem to be close to bringing them back

There wasn't a way to actually tell if they were active unless it something specific to a champ like dorms and hoods which worked before, sounds like they want to give us a warning system or a war we can see then 1st maybe why they added the extra information on the cause screen.

who knows and I do but I also have a life and it's nothing that you come across in your alliance every day. Each war takes 48 hours and the placement is done in a minute once every 48 hours and it's passive, so no we don't have all 3 of us constantly complaining about missing synergies on the defence. If it was April this year I'm only 17 months late - could be worse... My point is - it's a major issue and it's not so difficult to place a pop up banner with ok button to tell me within a game. It affects the game mode - it is important enough and we didn't get it. There are many people who don't contribute to the forums and who are in bad alliances so yes, it was mentioned there and yes it missed me. Also yes, I'm not happy it's another transparent thing of kabam that's clearly communicated and which everyone knows about.

So do I but it was noticable and made me come here to get answers and we're still waiting for them to address it and fix it

In the old AW, defensive Synergies were active.
After the introduction of the new AW the Dormammu-Hood-Mordo Synergie was working as intended.
Kabam just messed it up, that's the reason synergies aren't working.

The issue he's trying to highlight is that there is no in game notification about synergies not working. Remember, the forums represent approx 20% of the gaming community. I'm sure there are many more who aren't aware that synergies do not work in AW defense.

A person shouldn't have to come onto the forums and have to weed through a 470+ search to find out what is happening with synergies. A formal announcement via in game email has never been sent and there's nothing about this in game either. A stickied thread here on the forums would make sense, but that won't happen because this forum is a mess.
