Still cant activate boosts on my Symbiote

in Strategy and Tips
Ive left a thread here and have come up with nothing. My purchased boosts are greyed out when trying to use in Epic. Any thoughts on how to activate?

    You need to go into the difficulty first. when you are at the hero select screen then you activate the boosts.

    Ill try again, but that is where the screen shot came from. Notice how the boost is there but the Activate is greyed out...

    notice how your background isnt the quest background. you have to be IN the quest
