So much for consistency when Kabam messes up

Anyone else remember a few months back when they had the deal for a 5* gem with only a select few champs in it, but originally they issued the wrong crystal and people got champs who weren't supposed to be in the crystal? Instead of saying "Hey, we'll only correct it for the people who got the wrong item", you went ahead and changed it so that ANYONE who bought the deal from that point forward would all get the benefit of getting both 5* crystals.

Weird now that the course is changing. You tell us "Hey look, shiny new permanent quest so no need to hurry up and bang it out right away", then the normal whales exploit a specific Kabam mistake and we're told "Hey, remember when we said you don't have to hurry? JK, those who spent will get extra reward that none of the rest of you get".

This is a blatant slap in the face to the community whom you have been shady and inconsistent with for a long, long time. Either you even the playing field for all and give us all access to the same rewards or watch as more and more people who were already leery of your practices start to take their money elsewhere.

Then, on the flip side, there was the AQ issue about 1.5/2 years ago when some people got AQ rewards and others didn't on the day AQ ended, so Kabam then gave some of those who already got the rewards double rewards when they did a mass redistribution of the correct rewards a few days later while the people who didn't get it the first day only got them the one time.

Consistency, no so much a thing around here.

They actually let everyone keep the mistake crystal but THEN changed the deal so that everyone who bought it after the fix got the correct crystal AND the mistake crystal. They didn't say "Well those who got the mistake crystal will be the only ones to get both crystals", they did the right thing and made sure everyone got the same treatment. Contrary to what they're doing here.

The operative word in this post is "bought". The folks who spent too complete this content will still spend when deals come around. Making this fair with reversals is not cost-effective which is basically the point of stating the .008% of players who got the bugged crystal. It costs them the same to fix whether it's .008% or 10% or whatever of players.

Changing the rewards so that more get the upgraded rewards could have a definite impact on future spending on deals as less likely spenders meander through the content much slower.

TLDR: Kabam sez, "Where my money?!"

To be fair, ranking down a few champs sounds way harder then figuring out how everyone n the game obtained mystic cores over the past 3 years when they refunded MD.

Isn't it odd though how they always make it sound like such an arduous task to figure out things and yet it was so easy for them to get the amount of exploits down to a thousandth of a decimal point that quickly? 🤔

Honestly best part about it is them talking about how much work it would be to roll back when they have done it for much larger situations pretty much them saying the devs are to lazy to fix it

So yeah if this situation has tought people anything its exploit any bug u find if there devs think it's too much work nothing will happen to you

I don't understand why the decision to penalize those who took their time to finish are getting lesser rewards. I would be okay with the better rewards if they had originally posted "First 50 summoners to finish would receive a 3 --> 4 rank gem for any champ."

It's odd I've seen the argument that rolling back would end up being more chaotic when they them did it on a much larger scale and had it under control so how would it be more damadge be less control be even more chaotic for a smaller group

"Fixing" would entail correcting the mistake. They didn't do that. They patched it but still allow big spenders to keep rewards that the rest of the community won't have access to even though they themselves said "Hey, it's permanent content so no need to rush"

This has been addressed and dealt with as far as Kabam is concerned.. and in all honesty that's really all that matters. Rather than people continuing to make posts that are going to be closed or removed. People can simply not spend for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.. I think that will send a much louder and clearer message than all the posts that have been made in regards to this issue. If no spending occurs until a solution or explanation that the majority of the community community can accept, then i'm pretty sure we'll see a resolution like 12.0 or the suggestion of removing diversity brought about. At the end of the day.. they are a company with the goal of making money.. which is far.. it's also fair that their customer base refuse to give them money until we are satisfied with aspects of the game we are unhappy about.

Stop and think of how imbalanced the game would be if they made all the Gems apply to all Champs. A handful that slipped through the cracks is one thing. Every Gem free to be used on any Champ would be a major issue.

So, in keeping with your ongoing stances, you have no problem with Kabam being inconsistent with their prior practices of either A) removing rewards gained through exploit or

blanketing a mistake to all in an effort to be fair? I'm thinking your logic is along the Kabam company line of C) Whales gonna whale and we want that revenue.
