So in this video at 1:50 you can see that the phase timer is barely touching 3/4th of its duration and I haven't blocked. However, when Medusa throws her Medium attack, it doesn't 'miss' and hits me.

Nope, I was phasing/missing all the while earlier so that is 100% not the answer
I am already phasing + I am not blocking so I aint saying that I didn't phase. Im saying I didn't miss and the timer expired prematurely at 1:50
oh i see what your saying, she didn't miss when dusa threw her heavy atk and the timer disappeared.
could be a bug, you're right.
if you check at 16:20 the phase is barely at 3/4 of the timer yet when the beam hits, it expires prematurely.
