Yondu making units

Does anyone know if the whole yondu selling armor for units ability actually get you units

The simple solution would be to change the wording and make sure not to do this again. It's easily misinterpreted when phrased this way, and it can be solved by changing up how it is stated.

Kabam is on thin ice right now. Many customers are boycotting their products, whether it's reasonable or not. It doesn't matter if they deserve all of the criticism they're getting, they're getting it. They need to be very careful until they get their fans happy again. This means they need to go out of their way to please many of us. Not necessarily me or anyone in particular, but a large portion of their fan base needs to be pleased quickly. Dumb mistakes like this can't happen.

Seriously, this could all be fixed if they changed the wording a bit. He doesn't earn units, so it shouldn't be mentioned unless it says something about him not letting the Summoner in on the deal.

The CPU can't get Units, so there was no way to tell. Just because the CPU doesn't have something doesn't mean an ability can't work, or Mastery, Synergies, and many other things wouldn't be in the Contest.

It says there is a chance to sell stolen armor for units. There is no magic involved in that. That is basic English. It means MAYBE GET UNITS.

It was a reference to him being a Space Pirate. It's clear that they wouldn't release a Champ that gives Units. People would go nuts for it. I can see how it could maybe be misinterpreted, but between this Forum and the old, I've seen a total of 3 people make that mistake.

Maybe does equal chance. There are two ways to interpret this:
1-There is a chance to sell armor for units later, meaning there is an opportunity later on.
2-You may or may not be able to do this at all. If this was the case, they shouldn't have said it at all.

I'm only mad because I've already worked in Arena a bit because I assumed that Kabam was telling the truth. I'm lucky I saw this thread after a few hours. But a lot of people won't, and they'll spend time and money in arena to get a guy who won't have the ability that's stated. Just change the wording. It's not that hard.

The CPU can't get Units, so there was no way to tell. Just because the CPU doesn't have something doesn't mean an ability can't work, or Mastery, Synergies, and many other things wouldn't be in the Contest.

Might has meant chance for as long as I can remember. Chance doesn't mean never, especially in Contest of Champions, where a large portion of game-play is based on chance.

Running it dozens of times a day for keys if people can cry and scream silent nerf every time there abilitys don't activate why can't I now

It says there is a chance to sell stolen armor for units. There is no magic involved in that. That is basic English. It means MAYBE GET UNITS.

Maby equals chance don't know why u just restated my point but ok my point being I ran that quest multiple times a day fought him triple timed a day his ability did not activate once clearly bugged

It was a reference to him being a Space Pirate. It's clear that they wouldn't release a Champ that gives Units. People would go nuts for it. I can see how it could maybe be misinterpreted, but between this Forum and the old, I've seen a total of 3 people make that mistake.

I've spent thousands of dollars on this game. I don't want any bloody play on words. I want truthful, accurate, useful information. They're not my buddies; they're not my friends. I spend my money on their products and services. I want the information to be accurate so that I can make the most informed decision about what I choose to spend my money on.

Obviously I know now that Yondu won't earn me units, but if I actually believed that, I might be more inclined to buy a Ravager crystal if I were to think that I could "earn back" some units so that spending the money on him would "pay for itself".

Not everyone reads the forums. I never even knew they existed or read them until February of this year. SOMEBODY is going to wonder why they're not earning units with their Yondu.

I don't know about you, but it's not fun being mad. We don't like being mad. We just are because the character's description lies to us, even though it's unintentional. Seriously, this could all be fixed if they changed the wording a bit. He doesn't earn units, so it shouldn't be mentioned unless it says something about him not letting the Summoner in on the deal.

That's the thing, it was obviously stated. Most people don't have a question about it, they just assumed you would get units somehow. They had questions, but they were just going to test him out to see what happened. Listen, things are interpreted differently by everyone. You can't say that, because you interpreted it one way, everyone who did otherwise is a stupid gullible idiot who needs to shut up and stop whining. Kabam made it sound like Yondu gained Units, even though it wasn't intentional. I'm not whining or crying, I'm just saying it should be changed since it obviously can be taken the wrong way rather easily. You can't call someone a baby for saying that, especially if you're at the grammar and spelling level of a 3 year old. Kabam just needs to reword it or leave the Units part completely out, and the problem will be solved.
