The OP already admitted to cheating so the other players calling them a cheater isn't uncalled for. As for the permanent ban I'm pretty sure that was their intention all along despite the error of only 1 month. What's to stop the cheaters from cheating again after lifting the ban? The best thing to do is to create a new account and don't cheat this time.

Having ongoing issues is not a justification for breaking the rules. I don't know the OP's specifics. However, that's not a reason to justify Account Sharing and using Mods.

30 days is a big enough deterrent. But permanent ban is way too much

It's not my place to say what is appropriate punishment and what is not. What I will say is the real issue is people believing it's a lesser offense. That's the whole basis for confusion. It's never been allowed. It's never been a lesser offense. It's a rule, like the others. There is no right way to do the wrong thing. For most people it's not a surprise that it's agaisnt the rules. They have enough awareness to know that they broke the rule. It's clear in the TOS that any violation can be subject to action. If someone breaks the rules, they don't have much room to argue that it's unjust. Rules are rules. It's the fact that people believe it's okay to do it that's the bigger issue.

Why would we help you, you call us aholes but you're the one who cheated which to me and it seems to most people here is an ahole move. A permanent ban is not way too much it clearly says in the terms of service that use of third party software will result in permanent removal from the game so it is exactly the punishment you deserve. It doesn't matter if your little brother used mods on your account which is a stupid alibi btw because your account is your responsibility. If the government made you sign a non disclosure agreement for some information you learned and you tell your little brother and then he tells the world you are the one to blame and you would be the one in trouble for breaching the agreement. Then your brother got your account banned. He should have made his own account instead of playing on yours. You let him play on your account. He cheated on your account. Your account got banned. Be mad at your brother not us. He got you banned. You let him play your account is where you messed up. It's a costly mistake but it was made by your account.
