And of course we see the requests now of someone wanting real money compensation instead. If you’re beating your head against a wall hoping to break thru it, maybe consider stopping yourself instead.Compensation of in-game resources (which are readily replenishable without spending money) is one thing. If you’re spending real money on a game, it's probably with the desired goal of feeling a sense of accomplishment for completing a task. And if that task happens to be beating something that was inadvertently more difficult than intended, then your satisfaction in being able to beat it anyways should still be reward enough. I mean, there is no actual cash payout at the end of this game like what is possible going to a casino. So no matter how much or little money you spend, it's all for entertainment anyways.

I haven't re-read the entire thread, but as far as I recall, no-one has asked for their money back. That aside, I fail to see what you're rallying against. The concept of compensation in general? Entitlement? Your arguments hardly seem to pertain to the issue at hand. Take that casino analogy: it doesn't matter whether or not there is a pot of actual gold at the end of the rainbow. What matters is people bought something (albeit with virtual currency) that later turned out to have been broken. No biggie. Just refund whatever was spent on that, and everyone can move on with nice and warm feelings (players) and a sense of righteousness (developer). That it's 'all for entertainment anyways' does not matter. If you buy ten tickets to see your favorite band/play/whatever, and all shows get cancelled, you also expect to be compensated, right? Even though that's 'only entertainment' as well. Good news: you will get compensated. Why? Because that's a best business practice. As it should (and might still) be in this case as well. It's that simple.
I'm going to interject right there. Asking for Compensation is fine, but we are not reprimanding them for exploiting us. There is no comparison with that situation. They did not intentionally take advantage of the system to gain. It was a bug, and they fixed it. That's a far cry from people exploiting the game. Further to that, it's their game. No one exploited anyone in this situation. There was an issue, and people chose to push through it with Resources, rather than wait for a potential fix. There were many other options besides plowing through with Units and Revs. If people want to ask for something back, that's up to them, and they have that right. However, it's not the same as people taking advantage of an exploit. Not in any capacity. As a player who has done most of the solo content the game has to offer (fully explored 6.1 and Variant 2, a large part of Variant 1), I am in a pretty good position to point out that there are a LOT of extremely hard fights out there. When I took on Thanos (yes, I read his description, but there was a lot of it) I had no idea he was bugged. Hence, I thought it was just one of the many extremely hard fights I encounter. So no, ‘wait for a potential fix’ was never even considered. If only because that requires the understanding it was bugged in the first place. Had I known, I would most certainly have waited. As would most others who happened to be in that position. Thing is, we didn’t know. He was bugged. And we should be compensated.

People could have retried, read the Description. done some research online or on here. There were other options besides going all-out and spending as much as possible. So, yes. I do believe a certain amount of onus is on people for what they spend.
When I see people impatient about compensation
Hi all,We are discussing compensation options for players affected by the issue with Thanos before the fix was put live. We don't have any details yet to share but will let you know when we do.
When I see people impatient about compensation Some people have already received compensation if they opened a ticket , not really unreasonable to ask if that’s the step needed or if they will look into it and actually do something. Admins have been extremely quiet about this issue as of late. But kabam has always been fair to their players so I should be fine. Ha
