The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!
Upcoming Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw Balance Changes

Ebony was already a pretty decent defender, it’s not a coincidence he is a map 6 mini boss. By upping his damage, which seems to be the gist of the upcoming rework, they basically make him more annoying as a defender. And slightly more viable as an attacking Champion. I rather doubt he will be an exceptionally good attacker, even after the buff, but we'll see.
So, for me personally, I am not happy with him being buffed at all. Because the way I see it, he will become even more annoying as a defender. I’m not particularly looking forward to map six post buff. From a commercial perspective, it makes perfect sense though. Those that complain he is not very valuable on attack will be silenced, and more potions will probably be used when fighting him on defense. It's that simple.
"We are looking to boost both his defensive and offensive potential, but with an emphasis on offense."
So the emphasis will be on OFFENSE.
I want all my money back, my cosmic awakening stone, my 200 sig stones, my rank down tickets, my gold, my time to learn this champ..... just give some major compensation extra every time you do BS like this!
I hope the communication gets better this time!
1. They can either be more open to the comments of CCP players who actually over hype the champions and make the crystal sales jump super high.
2. They can have beta program for these new champs where at least top 30 alliances can have the time to pro test the content and kabam can listen to the data more better.
It is actually very bad ethics that you make a ton of money out of a brand new champion and then simply nerf the only thing that that champion has going for him. If they had better communication like - Ok guys, we see the damage of Cull is making the end content of act 6 feel like act 5 or act 4 so we are going to reduce the damage but have looked at your feedback that he is very difficult to ramp up so we going to reduce his missions/ increasing his block prof. so that we acknowledge our mistake. Also going ahead we will make sure that before the champ is released in the basic pool, all such adjustments are made.
A simple communication which is informative and detailed could have eased out the lack of trust that has already made this post 50 pages.
Disagree because: These videos are all skill based and require a lot of skill, time, tries. Also they videos prove you who is a better YouTuber, better skilled player and obviously the fun of a 3 star she hulk destroying labyrinth is a treat to watch. It's the CCP that is at fault. Skilled players will always find something that they can enhance the gameplay for a particular champ like corvus cheese in aq (I hope it is not a exploit)
Can you explain to me how I'm supposed to be motivated to ever spend $$$ or units on FGMCs if this is the new normal??
If you lower the effectiveness of a champ and we are supposed to love that champ just as much as we did prior to readjustment (according to you), what is the harm in allowing players to rank that champ down if they DON'T like the changes; especially when players have invested money, time, or units to acquire new champs from FGMCs or arena and are being used as beta testers essentially? It sounds like you guys are pretty confident that Cull will still be loved by those that have him, so prob wouldn't be a big deal to issue some kind of rank down option as it wouldn't get used by many folks if you guys do a good job with the Cull rework. This would go for any champ that is adjusted down within 3 months of release in the future.
I don't like the idea of RDTs being a regular thing in the game, and I understand that you guys don't want this either. But in this case it would be the only way I would feel good about getting any more FGMCs or going hard in arena for a new champ. I kinda think if you would commit to RDTs for champs hit with a downgrade within 3 months of release that maybe it would motivate you guys to double check everything before you release a new champ that can be acquired with time/money/units. Utilize your CCP in the early stages of development and take their feedback seriously!!
Personally this also demotivates me to purchase offers period. My playtime and spending has dropped dramatically since this announcement. I'm sure that isn't what you guys intended and I'm also sure that I'm not the only one feeling this way. The ball is in your court Kabam. Thanks.
