Is IDoom The 1st Ever To Hit Basic B4 Featured?

According to auntm.ai, IDoom is estimated to hit Basic crystals January 31st, which makes it 1wk before his Featured. If this is correct, does that make him the 1st champ ever to be released in a basic pool before his featured?

    I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was the first champ to enter the basic before being in the featured crystal. Until recently, the featured crystal had to run it's course before all the featured champs would be added to the basic simultaneously.

    Yup but now all champions that aren't trophy champs that have a 5* are now going to be in the basic 6* except for 3 champs, wolverine, Magik, and quake.

    In theory yes, it should arrive earlier in basic crystals than in featured ones. But, I have another question, those who have technological nexus crystals of the abyss, (which they have saved since the banquet event), will the crystal be updated?

    Yes. When a champ is added to the basic pool, all previous crystals are updated as well.

    Nexus crystals will always have access to the basic pool of champions at the time of opening. So, yes, if you wait until after iDoom is in the basic pool you will have a shot at getting him in a nexus crystal, tech or regular.

    Wiccan was the same for the current featured, he went live in basic before the featured came out.

    The answer you want is yes, but that's actually the wrong question. Tech Abyss Nexus crystals drop from the 6* basic pool. They never change once you acquire them, but they don't have to because it is the basic pool itself that is updated. When the basic pool is updated, all crystals that point to the basic pool(s) will gain the ability to drop those updated champs specifically because they point to the basic pool.

    While this sounds like a technical nit-pick with no difference, the difference is if the Tech Abyss crystal needed to be updated to include the new champs, then it is possible it could not update, like by human error. But that's impossible. Every crystal that points to basic pools always drops basic pool champs, whatever the basic pool is. Either they all do, or none do, because either the basic pool is updated or it is not. There's no way to accidentally cause the Nexus class crystals to not drop the updated champions, except by forgetting to update the basic pools for all crystals.

    She should. I believe that was the case with Voodoo, Blade and Spider-Man Stark Enchanced once their featured crystals ended.

    Wow so it looks like TechDoom could hit the basic pool on 1/24/23 1pm est but always check banners in game seems like thats a whole week earlier than expected

    Wiccan didn’t hit basic before his featured. He hit featured 1st.

    Tuesday the 24th of January. At least according to Titania's release in-game (2 weeks after QS so 2 weeks after Titania). Champs enter basics every other tuesday.
