FAQ

Will you announce the pool of 18 each time it changes?
We do plan on sharing the list every time the crystal is updated.

Can you buy the 5 star featured crystal with units or only shards?
This crystal is replacing the currently available 15,000 Shard Featured Hero Crystals.

So does it means that if a new champ comes to the Battle Realm we won't be able to get them as a 5* right away?
You will still be able to get them in the Grandmaster Featured Crystal, but they will not be available in a featured 5-Star Hero Shard Crystal until they are added to this new Crystal. So, this might mean having to wait a little while to get some Champions, but it also gives you a shot at 6 New Champions at a time, as well as a smaller Basic pool.

Just a more simple of explanation of what the new crystal is. I do not understand fully how it is better than the old featured crystal

This is very concerning. We are going from a 20% (+/- 5) chance to get a specific featured champ to a 4.2% chance?

Basic crystals SUCK. Roster progression should not be so heavily based on RNG.

Is there any logic to who the 18 other champs will be? Such as will they follow a pattern of previously released champs or will they simply be chosen by Kabam?

I don’t spend units or shards on featured crystals, I’ve learned my lesson the first year of play. BUT, doesn’t this defeat the purpose of the crystal? If someone really wanted for example ...luke cage and he was one of the champs in the new featured crystal, wouldn’t they have a better chance at him with the old crystal as a opposed to the new more full of champs crystal?

Old system- featured crystal (featuring Luke Cage)

New system- featured crystal (featuring Luke Cage and several other champs).

Yeah, cause everyone wants to spin a featured crystal that includes a significant risk that they may pull Sentry.

So does it means that the last new 5* Feature Crystal will be VOID? (I know it sound like it is explained in the post, just making sure where to use my crystals)

So let's say I wanted Modok. I now have to spin a 15k crystal which will have a worse chance at getting him than the previous iteration of that same crystal?

There is no Pattern. They will be chosen by the team, but we're taking extra care to make the Crystals more interesting for you all.

Glad the Blade Crystal is still happening as I am saving for at least one chance at him. Thank you guys for knowing people were saving for that and not doing away with the Feb22nd Blade one

What’s the point? The only way that the new featured crystal is better than the old one is if the old featured crystal had odds worse than 1 in 18 which is what the new one is. I’ve got to say I’m disappointed

Just to clarify, will the new 5* featured crystal will have an equal chance at all champions in the pool or have an 'increased' chance at certain champions as the current 15k 5* crystal does? Also, does this mean the sub-feature pool is going away?

Odds are actually now 4.2% since it will be 1 out of 24 if you're going for a specific champ. Nobody had the exact percentage of the current featured but the community tends to agree that the chance was/is 20-25%.

This is great news! I will never have to stress over the decision to buy a featured crystal again because these are absolutely terrible. 5K shards for a 20ish percent at the champ you want was worth it. 5K shards for a 4% chance, why would anyone bother? These crystals are worthless.
