@ContestOfNoobs just curious, what does the top of your roster look like? I agree with all the points you've stated in this thread, I'm just curious who your top champs are. I saw in a different thread you said you found this challenge hard, how far have you come so far?
I'm fairly certain I can finish the first chapter with relatively no items used because I have r4 Domino and AA. However, I am running into difficulties with the second chapter because I don't have Sparky. Trying to figure out the best path through that one. The final chapter I think I can get at least 2/3 of the way through with my Hyperion and Angela, but that shock is gonna be difficult to deal with on the final part.
Anyways, good post, and something that more people need to hear. Unfortunately people still have a hard time accepting even after they've read.
Its more focused on aw/awd meta chatacters, the game made me used champs like hawkeye, gambit who i dont even think about,
Currently on chapter 2.2 and so far its more of planning and playing against certain nodes and seeing best option for them.
I think one of the key critisims about Ultron Assault is the gap between Classic and Variant
Just like Kabam created Act 1 and Act 5 for story quest only and you are asking mid-tier players to wait
Some ppl saying there are Master/Heoric/Act 4 for mid-tier and they are just side track the discussion. If everything is discussed as a whole, then Kabam better create Act 6 for end game players.
This continues to completely miss the point of the rerelease of Ultron. The point was to create extremely high end content using the old content as a starting point. That's variant difficulty. Connected to that, but as a completely different thing, they wanted to give players a chance to replay the old content in more or less its original state as a nostalgic flashback (or a first time opportunity for players that were not around back then).
It is not that they specifically made classic difficulty for low progress players and variant difficulty for top tier players and forgot to include content for anyone else. They made variant difficulty for top tier players to do and everyone else to aspire to progress to reach. They made classic difficulty to be a blast from the past. Variant is for everyone. Classic is for everyone.

Yeah chapter 1 was relatively easy. Things started to become challenging at around 2.3. Chapter 3 is very difficult and had me on a mental breakdown at one point. They may not have the health of lol champs but the matches are just as long. All in all a very fun challenge and not something that can be steamrolled. Took alot of time. Practice and testing of different teams
After I see how effective Hyperion is against Ultron, I may end up taking him to r5. But yeah overall I am really enjoying the event!
Really? My r5 5* hype did well in certain fights of the paths but didnt work out too well against the boss. Rulk was awesome for 3.1 ultron. Got the one shot. 3.2 where a lil bit more tricky and used a combo of all 5 but rulk was indeed the mvp there aswell a 6*. And 3.3 Gulk seems to be the best solution i can come up with because of face me
Yeah my plan vs 3.1 Ultron is to just use Hype sp3, then just combo him until another sp3, then repeat. As for 3.3 Ultron, I don't think I have a good option right now. Still trying to think how I'm going to beat him.
the majority of the playerbasr just think rewards should be handed to them.
There's no shortage of such players, but I don't think they are anything more than a small, if sometimes vocal minority. I do think, however, that many players believe something equally if subtly wrong. They think that most or all of the content of the game should be designed with their expectations in mind, because they think their expectations are entirely reasonable and in the majority.
The truth is that there's millions of players of the game and they form a continuum of players. There aren't three tiers of players, or five, or five hundred. If you made fifty different difficulty levels, *most* of the players in the game would find themselves in between tiers, with literally nothing that was perfectly tuned to be both challenging enough without being too challenging, and easy enough without being boring.
Games like this build progress on a ladder, and that ladder has only a finite number of rungs. Players will spend most of their time getting sufficiently past one rung that it isn't challenging any more, while not being able to reach the next one without a lot of difficulty. Thinking that somehow a good game would eliminate this problem is an unrealistic perspective on the limits of game developers to create content.
It is easy to say "everyone wants everything for free" and it is equally easy for those players to dismiss that criticism as unfair. But the truth is a lot of people want the game to be tuned to their specific skill and progress level, and that is equally unrealistic. They want to be able to say "I worked for this" but they want the work required to be something they can always succeed at doing within the limits of the resources they want to spend.

Good luck and kick ass
Thanks! and will do! I'm struggling on the second chapter because my mystic and tech champs are not the best. Just going to keep pushing until I have a good run.
This is basically an Average joe walking into a weight room trying to curl the heaviest dumbell and complaining that it's not fair that he can't curl it. Then getting pissed when people tell him that he needs to work to get strong enough to curl the heaviest dumbell.

The way I see it, it is like someone seeing the high roller room at a casino and asking "where is the medium roller room?" There is no medium roller room. There is the entire rest of the casino, that caters to everyone in general.
Working on 2.1... I'm sure I will care very soon would be great if it was fixed before I got there though.
@Werewrym Good luck. Like @OneManArmy said the difficulty increases significantly from chapter 1 to chapter 2. I started working on chapter 1 exploration instead of pushing through chapter 2’s bugs. Sabretooth and Killmonger have been my MVPs.

Great, got something to look forward to... Really wish my tech and mystic champs were better.

I'm going to see what I can do with these. Seem like good options to me.
I may be able to do 1.1 and 1.2 within a month or two with out using items. The rest will need some roster work I'm certain. I'm loving DUO Hawkeye's these days though. No buffs and dual purpose Sp1 all day long.
For those struggling for epic, its suppose to be above uncollected, imo
A challenge for those who can 100% uncolected already
Try and fail, just keep growing, you will eventually get there.
I’d agree aside from the broken aspects of it like iceman and dorm.
Iceman because of unavoidable damage and needing to have specific champs (I thought kabam moved on from that meta)
Dorm because the boosts don’t work as intended and hurt the user.
I walked through this week but last week had issues. Some of it was the above some of it was a frame rate issue. When kabam speeds up the ai In difficult content my phone can’t seem to keep up. I have an iPhone X...but someone like bpcw who hops around on difficult content shouldn’t be hitting into my block and triggering parry when I’m holding block the entire time.

I agree, every uncollected i try to 100% both chapters then move on to C3 and see if i can go for completion if i end up struggling to beat the boss i take completion rewards and wait till i 100% it for good....4 times out of the 12 i was lucky to beat fully.

I think the more interesting question is why do you think uncollected gets harder every month? Because it doesn't for me.

nice omega red
@ContestOfNoobs Nicely done! Sabretooth has been my MVP for Act 1:
