WoW: I have reached the point where I don’t have the skill to continue.

I’m an Adult MCOC player of 8 years and at every significant spending event such as 4 JUL and Cyber week I often spend around AUD$500 on the various cash deals on offer during these special events. So in 8yrs of playing I have spent north of AUD$8,000 on this mobile game.

I’m Valiant progression and have completed (not fully explored) most of the MCOC game content. I consider myself a better than average player (I acknowledge I’m not a Top Gun Player but cut me some slack as I’m 51 years old!)

But I can’t for the life of me beat this juiced up Abs-Man in EOP 2.0 WoW. I managed to get Abs-Man to 12% HP with my duped R2 7-Star Hulk OG when I got KO’d. I thought I’d just revive and take out the final 12%. To my complete dismay all I did was watch in total despair as Abs-man regenerated his health in quick succession all the way back to 70%. That’s soul destroying to see. It’s also annoying and you just don’t want to participate with content designed like this.

WoW just isn’t enjoyable game content IMO. We’re now asked to try and play near impossible buffed opponents who seem to have a sole purpose to make us players use a lot of items or worse, drain our saved Units to buy more items or doubly worse to make us spend money to buy more Units to be used on buying more revives and HP potions.

If the future direction of MCOC is impossible content like WoW Abs-Man then I think I have reached the point where I don’t have the skill to continue. So rather than rage quit the game, because I have invested a lot of my time and money playing, I’ll just become another of the ever growing list of F2P players and just take it easy and save my money.

I'll just collect my free daily Valiant crystal and just participant in content that is fun to play (BG's, Season AW & monthly EQ) and await the day when the penny drops by the other remaining spenders that’s not worth contributing anymore to a mobile game that through design has slowly killed off the enjoyment this game once held.

Same thing happened to me when I went in with my 6r3 Sandman.

After a few revives managed to get him down as far as 23%, then go in again with more revives and a stupidly passive AI and he was back to 60% before I knew it.
I nearly threw my damn phone.

10 or so revives and about 100 health pots later and I gave up.

I haven't been that pissed off in a fight in a long time.
There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about wow abs man and the ridiculous objectives.

Who the hell came up eith this fight I don't know, but if this is any indication of what wow is gonna look like, I'll save my money and my resources and go back to super casual playing.

Same happend to me, 7R1 OG Hulk got him down to 26%…a few revives later he was back at 76%….💩

I got tired of trying, so I just brought in my 200 sig R4 Void and sp1 spam…he won’t regen anymore, its a long fight and only 1 point, but thats better than 0 points.

I realized my frustration with this content beyond the silliness of the fight in general. Kabam made note that this content isn’t for everyone, and I can understand. I have been playing for a year almost and I know there are players with multiple years in this game so end game content makes sense.

My biggest frustration is rewards. Titan shards especially. The content isn’t for everyone but we’re all hunting the same stuff and this kind of content is the only place you see thousands of titan shards.

It would be cool if us not so great players could get titan shards more often. Doesn’t have to be game changing amounts but some way to say that we’re going to get some of this stuff too. People lose the desire to play like this guy above when you want to progress but you see the only place Kabam is offering big rewards is locked by this kind of frustrating content. Cheers to all that completed. I managed to doom cycle and heavy stagger abs into oblivion but I can’t for the life of me get she hulk fight down… even with all the videos 😂.

So Kabam if you’re reading this I hope you take it into consideration that a lot of your decent but not great players are watching all the big boys push through 3-7 r3 champs and fill out their 7* rosters while the rest of us feel locked at our current progression (It’s hard enough to get a 7* crystal.

I think slight tweaks could be made. It would be cool to see 50-300 titan shards in smaller events that don’t take end game skills or rosters. I mean people getting small but more often opportunities to get titan shards isn’t game breaking imo. Access to big rank ups is for sure. I think Necro was a brilliant way to progress into valiant. I also think WOW have their place in the game. It just feels like the game has been catering towards valiant players of long form content players with content AND rewards. Hopefully 8.4 is fun and challenging and gives us more casual players that feeling of excitement again.

Just a thought to keep everyone moving forward while not taking away from the accomplishments of the skilled players completing this obviously hard content. 😎👍🏼

I'm pretty sure you have since you're on the forums, but have you tried Cat Murdock's method with Hulk? It seems to be an easier method with Hulk that I hadn't of thought of and wished I had, but does require revives.

Revives, lots of health potions (you take lots of block damage), and compliant AI to not throw specials inexplicably into your block time after time. If you are cool with quitting out over and over - even when you do everything right but abs man still throws his specials… have at it. I don’t have that level of commitment

She-Hulk is the best gamma option in my opinion. She counters the unstoppable and L2 stops the regen. Give her a try

GL OP. I would almost always suggest a season of FTP for those getting overwhelmed by the game. It adds a level of challenge that I think is personally quite enjoyable, but also allows you a freedom of mind to let events/rewards pass if they are out of a realistic reach. Sure, you won't be as competitive, but the game isn't always about that.

Now, I don't want to seem patronizing or that I'm just some old-timey player saying "well, back in my day", or anything. But it's amazing to me that people that have been playing for less than a year are already primarily focused on Titan shards. Unless you've been whaling out every sale or are just supernaturally skilled at this game, this seems like a crazy fast progression of priorities. I know the game economy has ramped up considerably over the past few years, but I think the point of 7* champs (or any new reward) is that they are rare and specific rare crystals (incursions, loyalty, Titan) that offer them should be increasingly so.

Genuinely curious, but how big is your 6/7* roster that you are this focused on the titan crystal? For a casual newer player, how much permanent content have you been able to do that you're looking at 8.4 but not really interested in Necro?

It’s not you. It’s them. Abs Man is OP. The objective fights were hard AF and cost me all of the revives that I had saved up. Don’t let it get you down, and consider skipping the #Robot objective. There are 2 grace points in the total event.

@Bulmkt i agree with what u say and i am in the same boat. If u just want to just complete then try doom, he has high block prof and doom cycle seems easy to acheive. There are videos of it by MSD and UKM in YT.

I have not completed it yet because I was trying put diff champs and I think i will finally settle with doom and use the 7 tries.

When you got him down that much with Hulk, just revive him and hit Abs whenever you can then keep blocking, don't let him use any special attack so he won't regen and also he won't enhance his form and inflict crazy red damage on you. Keep chipping him off. The key is never let Abs use special attacks

You don't have to do Abs Man fight. It's not needed to complete everything they give. Here anyways it's about a deathless piece and 1 T5A+ which won't have much impact if you miss. Just chill.

Open red envelopes, do SQ, do EQ, do what what you like. That's what i do.

Not to derail the thread, as it is vaguely on-topic, but I feel like Titan shards are a bit overhyped in the community atm. Sure, 7* champs are really important to new accounts, and the value of those crystals still reigns supreme for most summoners, but Titan shards/crystals don't offer objectively better rewards (as an average, as this is pretty pool-dependant). Their big value typically comes in for accounts that are pulling plenty of 7* crystals already and almost need the more rare champs to stay relevant in high-tier competitve scenarios. Sure, rare champs are fun regardless, but I think Kabam (rightly) still doesnt provide shards often to newer players (read as players with smaller rosters, with less overall progression, etc) because they shouldn't even particularly benefit from them yet. There are still several large drops that can help you build towards crystals, but small drops tend to make it more of a grind and have to be present throughout the game to make a meaningful impact.

I personally didn't even consider the titan shards as anything other than a nice bonus on any of the content so far. I would consider Valiant (the R3 gem) and all of the R5 gems/ascension materials to be the biggest draw in Necro and WOW because they allow a level of selectability and player agency. Titan shards are fun, but a gamble, and not inherently better than a regular 7* crystal for most.

That being said, I feel like more small objectives of Titan shards would definitely be a fun addition, but might be best placed for Valiant players as a reward that they could target more heavily since they tend to benefit more from them.

I feel the same way. Tried with a bunch of Champs, and I just can't. You get to a certain % then you get into a some sort of rhythm, but then he gets unstoppable in the middle of an attack or dex at your specials (I didn't know that happened before) or regens all your damage or he just decides to not attack at all while your furies dissappear or you get that degen. And let's not forget that if you time it just a little off the heavy won't take his form.
Any removal of one of those nodes could help a lot or just add a heal block, but no.
I used my revives and potions just for him to regen constantly and be stuck in the 50-65% health margin.
So before I was about to use units for more revives I thought "is it really worth it"?

As someone that spent 10+ revives trying to do the fight with Overseer, ranked up She-hulk and used up plenty of energy refills to no avail, I’d advise you to put the drama away and get it done with the Hulk stun lock method suggested by Cat. You’ll feel a lot better after.

It's clearly not a "me" problem. I don't know if you've been paying attention to the feedback or not. For that matter, I don't care. There's no excuse for a mobile game causing that amount of stress at all. It's overboard, and nothing has been changed about it so that leads me to think if this is the direction things are going, then I'm ready to peace out. Ain't worth it. Not a bit.

Lemme give you a little tip to do this with hulk
Attempt one-do as more damage as possible
And then revive and not let him throw his special and if he throw, immediately heavy him and throw sp1 in that stun and give as more damage as possible

You might do it in 2-3 revives
Trust me it's the safest way to do it

I did the same with 5 revives, 6* r4 hulk

I've run myself into the ground trying. For one Fight. One. It's ruined every damn thing for me and I'm not that incapable. I'm not the best Player but I'm not the worst. I don't know what the gauge was for content like this but I'm not willing to be a part of it if it's the standard now. It's not right and I'm not going to keep scrambling for crumbs out of this Event.

I agree 100%. Not only not fun, but the AI knows to keep away during his regen. This fight was built to drain resources. Another Kabam special. Burnout is real, Kabam, keep that in mind.
